Hi. Would like some input from users on the questions they would like to see or feel would be best to include in the fuel FAQ we are working on. This guide will be for beginners or even experienced users who might want some info about basic RC fuel topics.

Post in this thread the questions you feel we should include into the FAQ and I will have the writer work on including it in the permanent FAQ here.

Thanks.

RCAdmin,
I've had many conversations with begining modelers about a number of fuel/engine tuning topics, some of which were:

-What nitro content do I need?

-I have a bushing engine, what kind of fuel do I buy?

-What's the difference between fuel needs for my XXX ringless engine and my YYY 4-stroke?

-Do 4-strokes really require less oil?

I am a firm believer that some break-in procedures and fuel demistifying should be part of every new modeler's arsenal of knowledge.

Hi all,

A few more (from a real newbie )

Can I add xxWxx motor oil to the fuel?- Why or why not?

How come my fuel doesn't contain 2 stroke oil for my 2 stroke engine.

Since I already left an open container of fuel out for two days in my garage should or could I use a commercial fuel stabilizer, say like the ones available to boat owners for winter storage?

If I add more castor oil to the fuel, will it reduce the fuels octane? or overall energy output?

Why is it PINK?

What is the best oil ratio (castor to synthetic) mix for breaking in my xxx type engine.

What is the best recipie for speed/ reliability?

What type of glow plug works best with xx% of fuel.

Hope this helps, hope I find the FAQ when it is done...
