No spinner yet but that GK looks good. Has plenty of power!

well i got to maiden my plane today. it flew real nice! my saito 100 wasn't idling well so i wasn't going to get crazy just yet it did knifedge extremly well. with the stock tank i flew for 3-4min. i will run out of fuel in 5min. i will take a look in the hobby shop tomarrow to see what i can replace it with. i'm going to fine tune a few things and hope that the weather holds out next weekend and try again.

If your looking for a bigger tank I used a world models 380cc tank. With the saito 100 i am getting about 15 minutes of flight time with the motor running sloppy rich. It is going to take some modifying to put it in though.

Has anyone experimented with the CG? I started at 3 1/4 from the leading edge of the wing.

well i did it, i put a 16oz tank in her. the stock tank was 8.5oz and i got about 5 min run time. i'm hoping to get about 10-12min run time. the butt end of the tank is touching the wing saddle as high as i can get it. its alot closer to the cg that should make up for the extra weight. i flew mine with the cg at 2 3/4in.i'm going to set it at 3in next time and go from there. i'm also using a 15/4 apc, i think i'll try more pitch too.
i just bought some of that curtis youngblood fuel so maybe on turkey day i'll go fly again.

I was just wondering if anyone had any new flight reports? The weather here has been horrible and it is not looking good in the future. I may be grounded till spring at this rate which reallys sucks . I cannot wait to get mine back in the air!! Also has anyone tried any other props like a 16 x 4?

Anyone flying this plane with a 91 fx two stroke? I figured at just barely an ounce heavier then a 61 it wouldnt be a bad choice. The price is about right as well......How are these planes handling in the wind?

The .91 works great in the edge we tested it a .61 and a .46 on the edge and the .91 one was the best overall choice for 3D. You are right about the weight also it relly wouldnt make since to put the .61 in it unless you had it or didnt want insane 3D perfomance. It also handles the wind very well and is such a clean plane it cuts through the wind no problem. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

The prop will most definatly clear with room to spair. The pull-pull it comes with works great.

What are you getting for weight? With the OS 91. FA 100 etc etc etc.

I am undicided on what engine put in it.

Did anyone else have to sand the upper wing saddle, not sure what it is called. I had to sand the piece the canopy is on to get it to go on smoothly

Witha the FA-100 mine came in just under 6.5 pounds. Now i did not goto any point to build mine light. If i really tried i am sure i could get mine down to 6 pounds even, but with this motor i really do not need to. Also i did not have to sand the upper wing saddle.
