All I can find is white coroplast resulting in an all white plane. I'm gonna add a few stickers to it but in general, will the all white cause a problem? I was looking around here and it seems that nothing really sticks to coroplast besides the vinyl stickers.

rustoleum or krylon rust paints (spray can) stick fine. they just take a week or so to dry then they're done (fuel proof too).

all white is bad news on cloudy/overcast days. Hard enough sometimes to see coloured ones let alone white. re-consider if you can.

if you do paint, make the markings at least 6 inches wide. Otherwise, they'll just kinda fade away and you won't see the effect you want.

At distance, an all white plane can get disorienting... Without a different color on the top and bottom...it can get hard to tell if its right-side-up or not...

But it shouldnt be a big problem to paint it with some of those new paint designed especialy for plastic...what is it called? Krylon Fusion? Somthing like that anyway...

I usually stripe the underside of all my wings. With the stripes I can tell how I am looking at the plane from a distance and never lose orientation. Just make sure the stripes contrast enough with the color you have. I'd use some black on your wing.

Try to get some contact paper. I am currently using a checkerboard contact paper on the bottom of my wings. It is very light and cheap. Most importantly, It impresses the non Spaders as you make a fly-by of the field.

I just put some stripes on my wing and tail because it was getting real hard to tell which way was up when flying. especially when it was cloudy!!!
the stripes are a big help!

I ordered some adhesive sign vinyl from Ebay so I'll try that. Maybe some kind of neat design on top and the stars and stripes (like on WWII fighters) on the bottoms I got from the LHS. I saw a neat design from avoidtheground.com that was a bright green that you could see forever.

Vinyl is a way to go.As for me the only problem white was posing for me is dirt and exhaust were visible on it.I had a Spa3DT ,i used some dark blue on it so mulched grass mixed with castor wouldnt be VERY noticable.

hi mate its the dps i built it as in the plans exept i ended up building the dominator wing as i found it easier using one peice of coro and bending it over !! dont ask why lol .glad you like it.its still unflown as ive been short of time for few months and the weathers been bad lol.shes all ready for some decent weather knowing my luck that will be in the spring lol .its my 1st spad and she looks good and i cant wait to fly her.i used 3 mill coro for the wing instead of 2 mill top 4 mill bottom so the weights the same and shes turned out good i think!!.oh by the way the black trim is just vinyl tape .dont forget to post pics of yours when shes finnished .i decided to get into spads after a rebuild on my trainer balsa is such a pain to repair lol.[image][/image]heres a pic of my trainer after rebuilding and covering using the same covering as on the dps.my 8 yr old son designed the colour scheme and the covering was off ebay by rtf models called quick cover .self adhesive but also you can use heat to shrink it if used on balsa.easy stuff to use and comes in lots of nice colours.good luck with yours mate .

It is not difficult to put some contrasting color on the plane. A roll of vinyl from Harbor Sales is only about $18.00.

Go to the local sign shops, fast signs or any of them. They will load you up with scrap sign vinyl usually for free. I have been known to check the dumpster out back of the fast sign places too.
