ok, so far I figured out that I need to get the Futaba 6pin cable.
anyone tried it with Tracker III?

so another question.... is the USB that much better then serial?, I am leaning to the USB only because its easier to plug to front of computer and also because not all computers (notebooks) has serial connectors anymore.

It works just fine on my G3 as long as it is in trainer mode.

Dear All Tracker III Owners,

Please note that we offer a great trainer cord for $8.00 and recommend it to be compatible with the Futaba cords. It's designed to be used with our radio and many simulators.

It's available through our web store.

Yours truly,
Lewis Polk

Dear Dave,

Yes they are in stock and can be ordered at www.polkshobby.com.

I don't want to give out stock numbers here as this is a non-advertising opportunity, but they can be easily located at our webstore.

Yours truly,
Lewis Polk

can't connect trainer cord to pc, unless I am missing something.... how you connect a 6 pin connector to a PC?

there should be two cords, radio to buddy box (trainer cord) and radio to PC (simulator cord)

BTW, I got the trainer cord added to my radio order, Thank you

so now I am after the simulator cord

A sim cord would be nice, but I will have to get the trainer cord in the meantime. It does still work with my G3 with the cords that come with it but it seemed hard to set up.

www.tti-us.com/sim works for me. I use it for FMS and AFP. Use Student mode: hold down the 'Mode Down' button during power up.

I didn't see this info on the post.
If you are using windows 95, 82, 2000 you can use the serial/parallel cables for yous FMS simulator.

Now if you have Windows XP, these cables will not work and you need a USB serial cable to get the program to work. It is not he probem with FMS or the cable, it is a problem with windows XP. XP does not reconize the parallel/serial port with FMS.

Just my $.02 worth.

cost me $50 after shipping,

if anyone one has serial, please test and reply with results, so others will know! thanks!

I still wanted USB, I hate digging around the back of computer, some computers has USB port in front.
