Someone told me to mix 2.5% acetone to your fuel to help
keep the engine clean and stop oil deposits etc.
I am running a Super Tigre S2000. and would or could this damage the engine?.Also what is the best engine/oil ratio for the Super Tigre's.?.

Status: offline 		If you use Shell A for mixing, it already has 3% acetone in it. This is generally accepted to be a good thing, at least amongst us Aussies. Search this forum for "acetone" for more info.

As for Tigre Juice, I'm sure someone else will set you staight on this...........

Status: offline 		Doubt acetone will make it run cleaner. Since it has less oxygen than methanol it would probably be slightly worse about leaving carbon deposits.

Status: offline 		I think the main reason for adding acetone is that it makes tuning the engine easier. It sort of widens the sweet spot when adjusting the needle. I don't think it will clean the engine.
