Bob. Just wanted to know if the q 500 muffler is the same as the Qm 40 muffler. Ive been told that they are the same black short muffler, but on Jetts web site the q 500 has a raised center and the qm 40 does not. Thanks.

The mufflers are slightly different - internally different configuration for different rpm bands.
