Maybe Franky needs to read the vendor forum rules .... again.

These are not open discussion forums, these are support forums supported by our wonderful users and fans and your's truly.

If you want to plug G3 look elsewhere or perhaps G3 will grace us with their own support forum where you guys can chit chat all day long about what it takes for G3 to be just like AFPD.

STL !!!!!!!!!!! dont get me wrong again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have AFPD and i like it

i do not suport more G3 than AFPD if you think that

i prefered to have more collision detection scenery ( pano)etc than 500 planes.

question of taste or priority

STL you got my money also. We weren't bashing AFPD I personally like AFPD quite a bit.

And I'm certainly glad you enjoy the simulator and I know why you do.

I too want more scenes and more scenes come out every week WITH collision detection. IPACS is working on the collision tool and when it comes I will post the information. I just don't want people trying to make false statements because AeroFly Pro is and always will be the people's simulator. The ability to create your own models and scenes has been around since day 1. Also many other plug-ins and tools have come as well.

The problem is that you never even acknowledged the fact the many other pano/collision scenes do in fact exist and many more on the way.

Also when it comes to discussion about G3 I will not allow ANY of that, plain and simple. That goes for any manufacturer's forum on RCU. We work hard to support our products and if you want to discuss them, look somewhere else.

I know you like the sim too Rick and I'm glad you enjoy it as well, but like I said, Franky wants to talk about any features about G3 there are other places to do it, not here. These rules have been put into place since RCU introduced manufacturer support forums and there is a very good reason.

Hi folks,
this discussion about which sim is best, is getting boring...

Rick,
Regarding 2 months I just spent almost 4 weeks of getting reference material for a very seldom and almost forgotten airliner. It is the "152", the first german jet-airliner from 1958. There is only VERY few material available at all. I just bought 2 books with some rare pictues and harvested the internet.
Just to build it as accurate as it is possible with 18.000 polys.

The result is this: Pictures

Building such a model is something different than putting together some polys in an afternoon...
The model is good enough for high quality renderings and closeup views - eaven in AFPD...

Cheers,
Lego

Thats a nice model Lego but...

I am not talking about "putting together some polys" for example I made this model in 1 day (*about 10hours) and it is also good enough for "high quality renderings" it still needs final texturing but that will take very little time (2-3hours tops to paint and UVWmap). I can undrstand it taking you some time to find your reference materials however. It must be tedious working with Metasequia?

Rick your B52 is missing lots of detail and that's where most of the time is consumed obviously.

Not saying it's not looking nice, it just looks like a 10 hour job. When you go in an render the little things it takes TONS more time to get all the precise positioning of the parts.

Because of the performance the number of smoke channels is limited to 4.
