Status: offline 		We have the same type of track condition that you have, I used 5000 Front, 7000 center, 3000 rear for diffs. Then I used the stock 2 hole piston in the shocks with 30wt oil in the front and 20wt in the rear, the proline crimefighters in the M3 compound really help with dry slick conditions. Anyway that is my setup.

  • Inside hole on all arms
  • CEN 30WT. oil all the way around
  • #2 pistons in front, #3 in rear
  • Blue CEN springs
  • CEN Diff oil- 5K, 5K, 2K (Mugen Seiki)
  • Panther Gator Tires MS
  • Wing level

This is my set-up for the Pro-Kit. This is what I'll run at the Roar Nats. I think it's a good set-up for most conditions and you can start from there... I don't try to modify my steering knuckles because I have too much steering as it is! LOL And that's a good thing! I'll have pics before the race!

Status: offline 		I think I fixed the temp problem. I used the settings HSN: 3 3/4 turn out, LSN: 4 turn out, Mid: 1/2 turn from flush.

I start the motor a little lean on the HSN, I let it heat up pretty good then set it to these settings above. I take it slow around the track for one lap and it is good to go. I ran two tanks through and the temp were 262. The key is to let the motor warm up really well then set it to these settings. It may sound rich, but it has enough power to carry you through jumps and tight turns.

The buggy is durable as hell. I have had some tough landings and it did not blink an eye. The Matrix is solid as a rock.

the biggest "Noticeable Difference" is the diffs..."ALOT" of people are using either RGX difs or Kyosho diffs in the Buggies and the New RGX Diffs or Gene Hickerson's cross pin conversion
once changing to this configurations the cars and trucks seem to almost be able to drive themselfes....(in a manor of speaking of corse)
a good majority will run 5k in the front 5k in the center and 4k in rear.....
1 deg toe out
stock shock and camber link postions....
rear 3deg toe 2deg anti squat,hubs forward with long chasss center with standard chassis
#2 pistions all around 55wt oil in front.....40 to 45 in rear seems to get most in the "Ball Park"

don't run it without it...if running 20% there is no need....
you'll be fine....
if 30% you really should...the motor will be easier to tune...
and will have less problems...
may people will run it with out but there motors usually will go out faster.
as well the motor will suffer from "Detonation" ...and plugs will go "Faster"
sometimes as oon as you put them in and fire it up....as with the over compression the glow wire can and sometimes does break in the chamber...when this happens pretty much game over for the motor....
many will "Argue" these points...maybe it will happen? maybe it wont?
but then again i got my "Tutelage" from the Late Ron Paris himself.....
but then he was the "Formost" educated Individual on Nitro motors...
so yes!!! run a shim do not take a chance....if they say no they do not know better...
do not blow a 200.00 300.00 or more dollar motor jut because someone just bluts out sure no problem......
also if your not sure if a shim has already been added to the motor here is a way to check
get a piece of solder make a "Small L" shape at the end just big enough to get through the hole
and just over to the side past the "Dome" part of the cylinder and turn the motor over
(you should have it out of the car for all this)
let the piston Squash the Solder then take a pair of Calipers..take that mesurement...and let me know what it is.....
and i mention all of this as 90% of the motors are made "Over Seas".....where they "RARLEY" and i mean RARE!!! if they run anything over 25% nitro.......20% is the "Norm"
in America is one of the few countries where we will run 30% on as low as 8% lubricant!!!!
average here is 30% nitro on 11% lube....
so they usually will not need to run shims outside the U.S.

and i can let you know if it is needed or not to be on the "Safe Side"
here localy i see alot of people getting into the truggies...hey there cool right
well with all things there are new things to learn and do....so at 2 of the local tracks the
"Latest Rage in Motors" is the OPS radical...killer motor good to tune...good power band...
but Needs a "Shim"....needs to add a shim to it...so there motors and some of the other .28's are running real Eratic going hot cld hot cold....or not keep there tune reving high then dropping for no reason with alot of stalling....
in other words you already broke in th motor an got it tuned for the track...what happens after awhile bout a gallon or less......starts just "Acting Strange" for no apperent reason???
this is what they call the "Begining of the End"
some motors will last a gallon???????.......some only another tank....
but for no reason as well they will run hot with no punch...or will need to rasie the "Idle" more
or "Stalling more than usual".....sometimes going through more plugs than normal...
anyways i could go on about motor tuning and all but here they just slam people sometimes??
but let me know about that mesurment

Status: offline 		I am about to get the FRE for race season just because I want to be different than all the 8ight T drivers. Buying it used from someone who put aluminum bell crank and kyosho C hubs and steering knuckels on it. I know most people who race change out the diffs, so I was wondering what are the best ones to put in. Part number would help.

Also, is there any other problems I should RB S7 in it and was wondering how this mill would work in the matrix TR. I got a set of mugen 1.1 springs and Xray shoes I plan on puting in with a 13 tooth vented bell.
