Talk to Peter Michels in Germany (airliners) of Henri Wild in Switzerland (fighters).
I think they can build a model for you large enough to draw attention from the crowd at La Ferte Alais.

Mr. Patake in Curitiba, Brazil is a great builder, that delivers what you need in schedule...
he is specialized in giant airplanes and jets.

Probably not the largest R/C Jet ever built, but I believe it would rank right up there among the top.

As Wojtek says it is powered by two 160's in an unusual way through a reversed bifurcated pipe.

I have a whole lot of 16" foam used to build DC-10
It can be used to build any airliner or round fuse plane..
If you want it you can have it.. You just need to come get it.. hahah

Pictures
http://www.corpcomp.com/weeks1/Foam/Foam.html

ps.. you can make a 12 foot long 12 foot wing span with two turbines and still be less than 55 lbs.

Thanks Bryce!! Very nice, I especially like the way he mounted the turbines at an angle, to match the angles of the bifurcated pipe. I'm sure this helped with the reduction of lost thrust had they been mounted straight. Some specs on the model would be great as well.

Eddie

Your are right on. My current project is a 1/12th scale B1-B and so far everything you see weighs 29 lbs. All that is left is to cover the fuse with balsa sheeting, glass it and install the turbines. Max estimated weight is 42 lbs. I am installing twin PST J600R's for a total of 29 lbs thrust. It will carry 200 ozs of fuel and yes the wing does swing.
