That sounds like a radio glitch. I guess you have your antenna still tucked away in the cabin, like it comes out the box? Try unrolling it and perhaps wrap it around the tail or something like that. This will most likely fix the odd "twitch".

amitysanimal: Yes there is, but I tossed that whole sim out after I got Aerofly Pro deluxe. Maybe you get lucky here: http://www.rc-sim.de/index_en.htm

i understand that but i've had the antenna since i got it. i ran the antenna threw an plastic tube from the front leg to the tail rotor. but i might undo one or two rounds and see if it helps too.

thanks

I've read some different kind of opinions on chargers.
Which one would be the best one for the lama2? I bought a battery pack but it doesn't have the lil white plug for the lama2 charger on it,
so I guess i have to buy a charger to charge it..

Do you recommend one kind of SAFE charger?

Would you recommend a different kind of battery with a different charger?
Was looking at Aeronuts and looked at this one !QUOT!ProLux 3834 1~3 Cells Li-Po Charger!QUOT!
but I can't select 800mA.

Thanks

There is a Twister Bell 47 which is about the same thing. I have it, but I don't know where I got it.

Check that the blade is not spinning or slipping against the centre, they are attached via 4 pressure screws and these can work lose.

Hi all,

I received my Lama 2 today. I've put two charges through it so far and it doesn't seem to fly properly. it hovers ok but with the already mentioned yaw drift. the problem I'm having is with the throttle, when I take off the heli lifts ok but when I set it to hover at any given height it hovers for a second or two then slowly looses altitude and no amount of throttle will stop it from landing. This goes on for a few mins then the battery is low.

Any ideas?

well on this kind of radio you have clicks as you move the throttle up. some heli radios do not click and are smooth, where some times you find out that one click is too much and one less is too little, mine kind of does the same thing, i just work the throttle alittle, but i have alot of 3-d airplane flying experience and when you tourque roll a plane you work the throttle some, so i'm kind of use to it. but it's something you just have to learn, where it will hover good and how much throttle to lower then get back into some to land.
i just got back from a friends and my lama wouldn't even fly 3 minutes with out loosing power and dropping. before i went over there i charged the battery. but one i got home i used tie raps and tied an apogee 2 cell 830 pack on where the battery goes and i hovered over 5 minutes in the dinning room with tons of power. i think my battery might have a weak cell.
on the charger issue i use the same charger i charge all my airplane li-po with . it's apchee 2020 charger by e-tec. it's for 1 to 3 cell packs and 250mah to 1200mah charge rates. they run about 25 to 30 dollars. but i'm going to hook my stock battery up the charger and charge with it cause the charger it comes with charges to each cell where i been going thru the main plug, some i'm going to try that and see if my battery does better, cause me and my friend couldn't tell if it was a motor going out or the battery just not holding up. and i'm pretty sure it's the battery...

Thanks for the reply Mikey.

The first thing I did when I received the lama2 was to open up the tx and remove the "clicker" as I have done with all my other tx's. I understand that using any yaw controls on a coaxial heli will sap the power from the lift dimension, but surely not enough to ground it? I'm starting to be convinced that I have a dodgy cell in my pack.

Also, how loose are the blades supposed to be. Mine are very loose, although in flight there is very little wobble, when I use the cyclic control there is a slight uneasiness, is this normal from a coaxial?

i tightened mine a little. not too snug cause if you contact something you want them to move easy!!! i think i have my problem fixed. i flew 2 more flights on other batterys than the one that came with it. i then tried the e-sky battery after i charged it with the e-sky charger and about 2 minutes into the flight it started to spin right and lost power, so i'm pretty sure i have a bad pack. but i have some new ones coming in this week. i tried fling it with a 2 cell 1050mah pack and i could tell the weight diffrence big time!!! it flew ok but ook a little more throttle to hover chest high.

well, I put another charge throught this morning and it still doesn't want to stay in flight. I power up, take of. A few seconds of hover turns to a gentle descent, regardless of increase of throttle. Infact all the increase in throttle does is create yaw with the extra torque and then when correcting the yaw i lose power to lift.

This is starting to get frustrating.
