I just ordered my lama2 from ebay. What kind of extra battery should i buy? 7.4v 800m 2cell is the good one for lama2? what else should I buy besides extra blades? cant wait!!

The battery is indeed 800mAh. and 2 cells, but be sure you buy a battery that can do atleast 10C continues! More is reccomended, my 10C lipos get quite warm. Extra blades is always a good idea. Youll need them eventually, so its good to have a couple in stock.

What is the charge time for a full charge on the stock LiPo using the stock charger with the Lama 2?

Id say 60 to 70 minutes.

i ordered lama2 from ebay and paid by paypal. BUT i just noticed that i paid with the credit card has been maxed out. and it is pending right now. what's going to happen? do i have to pay overlimit charge or what? if so, how much will the overlimit charge be? i came to the states six weeks ago, so i dont know how it works. please let me know guys... i wish you guys understand what i'm trying to say......sorry guys...my english is not good since i've only been the states for six weeks...i hope i will get better as time goes by... i know that i shouldn't put this kinda question here but i dont know whom to ask about this....

Pending means the item is still awaiting payment I guess.

I toasted the 4-in-1 board a couple days ago, but I fixed it with some scavenged electronics of my own, and after flying it for a few day, all I can say is get rid of the origional board! [:)] All you need is a lightweight reciever of your liking, a cheap PG-03 gyro, and a double esc/mixer board you can find in almost any micro helicopter (buy one from the spare part sections). Mine hangs like a rock. NO drifting whatsoever, not even at the end of the pack. All that and only 5 grams over the origional weight, with the coverings still on the reciever/gyro/esc and all wires still waaaaay to long. So if you got an old dragonfly micro heli laying around, give it a try. [:)]

That's interesting, but I would't have any clue what to get. Where did you put the gyro? Got any pictures of your mod to share?

Credit cards from some banks will let you charge more than the limit, but I'm not aware of what the overlimit charge would be. If you have one, you'd have to contact the bank (phone number should be on the back of the credit card) to see what it is. I'd guess about $20 or $30.

Heres some pictures. At the bottom I stuck the double ESC/mixing board with doublesided tape, then I put the gyro ontop of the reciever using a stickypad, and then I put that gyro/reciever package ontop of the esc/mixer. As you can see its all rather messy now, but I plan on trimming down all those wires. Theres a good 10 inches of useless wiring on it. [:)] not to mention the useless covers that are on the reciever and gyro. Id rather stack it all with a piece of plastic in between, and put a shrinktube around it to make a compact little unit. Ill keep you guys updated as soon as the mess is cleaned up a little. :P

Update: Tadaaaa! Plucked 8 grams off of my bird. [:)] With my own electronics its flying at 2 grams UNDER origional weight. (Ignore the 215grams on the box though, that was NOT how heavy is was when I got it.) A mod well worth doing. The gyro is now much more stable because it doesnt have as much moving around space as it used to have.

Hey I was Flying my Co Co Lama out side and is was doing great then all of the sudden Black Hawk Down in the snow in my back yard. It seemed the inner shaft top broke off and chipped up the blades with the counter balance swinging loose. I did order some new parts from Pinnacle Model Co. with another CO Co Lama. Is this a good company to deal with parts? Do these Small Copters just break or did I fatigue the parts before as I did chip the blades once on take off. I did fly it indoors at 15 Minutes times for about a total of 20 flights. I also did put my company name on the rear tail and seemed to steady it while I hovered. Any info on this little guy would be helpful.

Your counterbalance bar went flying off, complete with holder and everything? [X(] Woah! I had mine freaking out in a tight turn once, but it just popped out of its joint and went flailing off. Theire not supposed to do that. Mine is still going strong after countless crashes and a good 50 flights. Another thing to add to the pre flight checklist I suppose. [8\|] Mine isnt a "coco" lama though, maybe yours is a clone of the origional e-sky lama v2?

hello all new to the forum[:D] i got a esky lama2 for christmas and have been flying since... its relly good but i find that it yaws counter clockwise( against a full trim). i read about the pot thing on the reciever so i will do/ play around with that now. but i also notice that it "strafes"(drifts) of to the left, again against full trim in the opposite direction ... can anyone help ??? kp

Hi Korb, Try pulling the cup off of the balljoint on the left side of the lama. Be carefull, those things damage easily. Twist it counter clockwise for a couple times (thus making it longer), and push it back on the balljoint. That should straighten the strafing out. The little pot on the board should take care of the yawing. [:)] Have fun!

That was just paintshop pro. I dont have that file anymore because I messed up and saved over the origional file. But you can draw it up in a minute of 3. :P Just take an old jpeg one, draw over it with simple lines, copy just the lines after youre done, and paste it in a new window, so you have an outlining of it. All you have to do then is color it in.
