Hello,

as you all can see iam new here at rcuniverse but i have readed much threads without being member.

I want to build a YAK54 from Aluminium for a long time now.
The plan is to print a drawing for a wooden yak and then make it in aluminium construction my own way.

So please if anybody knows a plan of a YAK 54 for about 40 to 50 CC Gasoline engine let me know.
you can find my email adress in my account information.

Regards !

Hey there, looking to see if either of the kits from Brent of Syd are still available....would like to get a laser cut set.... I also want to throw in....I cannot believe that the bulk manufacturers survive with people as talented as you. Your designs and craftsmanship more than triples big name makers and you can tell that a lot of time and effort was put into making them perfect. I would say that a big name should scoop these up for a million dollar contract , but in all reality, you guys do excellent work, I hope to acquire many of your planes in the future if you continue...thanks for the eye candy and hoping to get a kit from you soon!

Pete

Pete

I currently don't have any of the 50cc yaks cut but I can arrange to have a kit cut for you. I am just about ready to make available the 100cc version. The 50cc is an animal, the 100cc is a fracken BEAST. I am currently doing a little fine tuning on the big one. I am thinking about making the motor box removable and moveable for rough cg tuning. I just started working with a new laser cutter in my area. He has the ability to cut full 4'x8' sheets. The 50cc plane is pretty expensive compared to what can be had in an arf. I can say this though, I have yet to see an arf that is as straight as a plane that is built by someone who knows what they are doing. I am talking with Bob at DL USA about offering my designs in kit form. I am currently working on a 50cc sport 3D design for him exclusivly. I am hoping to have it ready to test this winter. If you want to talk about getting on of the planes just let me know.

I am not sure yet. I am using a new guy to do the laser work and he is cutting some repair parts for my 50cc and another guys that had a mishap. My plane uses all sheeted foam parts. You can either get the foam cores and do the sheeting yourself or I have a guy that can sheet the parts. Sheeted foam parts are $300 for the wings, stab and rudder. They are vacumme bag sheeted and are very nice parts. The canopy you can get from tower hobbies. It is the canopy for the great planes 25% yak. I have the mold to make the cowl and the cowl cost is $45. I don't know what freight would cost to ship everything to OH. So that would have to be figured later. I imagine that the laser cut parts which include the fuse. hatch and turtle deck will probably run around $125-$175. I won't know until he cuts some parts. Shoot me a pm and I will give you my contact info and numbers so we can talk if you like.

Not yet. I will be doing one though. I am currently making some small changes to the 100cc yak and Probably this winter I will start scaling it up to 150cc size. I have 4 guys that want one already and they all said they each would be happy to take the prototype. I will be building one of the new 100cc yaks in a couple of months. I am very bummed that the plane went in at a contest when the transmitter shut off and turned back on when I was on approach to land. The fuse was loose in the fuse block and caused an interuption of power.

I don't have a website or anything like that yet. This is still just a hobby. I will have to see where it goes.
