turnbuckle screw keeps stripping out of plactic wishbone have put red locktite on it but it came back out later on i think screw hole is to far gone. i want alloy ones without the screws. i have found the cnr ones and the elcon ones. are they made of the same grade material and is the cnr ones of good quality like the elcons. plus i thought that i saw some pics of 1 pc design alloy ones for fgs no adjustments like the 2 pc ones. if so can someone post a link to the solid ones i dont care about adjustments anyway. also do these alloy ones hold up good to normal driving. thanks for any replys.

upper rear arms are also good to upgrade I bought these the same way $25 the plastic ones flex and hit your spur gear you either get a smaller spur or a alloy uppers

Just found this link fo the FG catalog looks like I will be buying spacers for the uppers

I managed to strip the thread where the turnbuckle screws in on my monster truck upper rear wishbones too.
I tried a few things to repair them but ended up getting the elcon upper rear wishbones.
End of problem.
If you get the elcon upper rear alloy wishbones make sure you get a pack of the fg spacers for the hinge pins (or have some washers of the right size) as the elcon parts are slightly smaller than the fg parts (for adjustment of the wishbone I have been told).

Leave the space open on the upper wishbone, it should be able to move free.
The part is made on purpose shorter as there is a 2 degrees anti-squad added in the lowerwishbone mount.
When the wheels move up/down the upper wishbone will therefor move a bit on its hinge pin, so do NOT fill the space with spacers or anything else.
It will put unnescesarry stress to the shaft/holes and wishbone.

I spoke to the official UK importer of the elcon parts (tornado racing) & he was the person who told me to fit the spacer as he said it IS needed

Even the FG rear upper alloy arms uses the spacers, I need some........... I think all alloy rear uppers use them

When using FG lowerarms in a standard set-up there is no anti-squad, the upper ones can then be filled with spacers if you like.

When using the elcon lower wishbone mount (11504/12504/18504) it is better to leave the upper wishbones (18507) without spacers.
The lowerwishbone mounts have 2 degrees anti-squad incorporated, this will make the upper wishbone move in axial direction.
The axial movement caused by this 2 degrees anti-squad is rather small, but is there when the arms move up/down.

Apache- knows what He is talking about He has better connections to Elcon than ANY Importer.....
