which ArmorAll product is the one to stop the fuel from foaming?
(please be specific,there are so many of them)

I read that the silicon in it do the job. can't be silicon oil be used instead?

Status: offline 		It's called ArmorAll Protectant and comes in a 250ml plastic bottle with a pump to spray it out. One quick spray in a gallon is all that's needed. You're right that it's the silicon which stops the foaming and I've heard that the latest formulation doesn't use silicon anymore.

Status: offline 		don't put that stuff in your fuel.
It coats the glow plug and after 2 or more flights, you will experience bad transtion and idle. Top end will fail eventually.
it also leaves bad coating on the piston and cylinder as it burns. In short, don't try it, unless your motor is expendable.

As mentioned above ArmorAll changed their formulation and doesn't use silicon anymore. (which did the job) so that's a no-go anyway.
I tried a few drops of silicon oil ia a gallon, but it had not the same effect as older ArmorAll. It helps a little but I didn't want to ruin my fuel with putting some more drops in it.
I had in mind that silicon can cause glowplug failure,but I couldn't help myself to check it out.

Status: offline 		I must be doing something wrong then. I've been using Armorall for more years than I can remember, never had a plug go bad and I've still to find out what a worn out engine is.

Status: offline 		Well here's something interesting. I shaked my fuel bottle vigorously till it foamed, put in 3-4 drops of armorall, and whoosh all the foaming went away. Now after one week, I shaked the same bottle again, but somehow there was more foaming than a week earlier (after using armorall). Seems like the silicone degrades in performance (perhaps chemically too ?) in my 15% Omega. The label on the bottle says that anti-foaming agent has been added. So, maybe armorall doesn't make a differrence after all and is not needed. Balance the prop and pad the tank is the good old remedy. Food for thought...............

Status: offline 		get some armorAll last week and tried it today,
put 3 drops in 2/3 of a gallon.most foam vanished immediately,but the rest like usual with no drops in it.
after shaking it again,the foaming was noticeable less than before(-40%),but not completely vanished,it took the usual time for the remaining amount of foam to vanish.

is this the way it is? or is this the new formula?

Status: offline 		i recently changed from castor to synthetic,and the previous post needs to be updated.

using now synthetic oil,the foaming stops immediately and completely!!!! (even when shaked again)
at first i thought i put too much in it,but on a other canister i double checked the drops (3) and had the very same result........ so,no more foaming anymore!!!

Status: offline 		We use antifoam agent at work on our flexographic presses to keep ink from foaming in the ink pans at high speed. I think I'll try a drop of this and do the shake test.

Hi tdriver, do the shake test again after two weeks and it will be interesting to see if the results remain the same. Cheers......

no bottle of fuel (1 gallon) last that long .so it doesn't really matter,but i'll keep some to test it.
i heard that too,so i put in the drops when i actually need a new gallon,and not in the mixing process.(i mix my own fuel)

what i really want to know is if that stuff mix with the fuel or is it always on the surface???

I left a bottle of fuel with ArmorAll in it a couple of weeks,and yes the foam is back again!!!!!!
but as I said before,usually no bottle of fuel last that long.

is it possible that this is the new formulation,as described in an earlier post?
i didn't read anything about this in the past, so I can only guess.
