I was quoted 200 Canadian from my lhs that I asked to sign up with Kyosho. Much better then a lot of the horror stories I keep finding all over the place. Especially ebay, makes me want to contact every single bidder and say "You know these are available again don't you?"

I have never seen a harder RC to find decent info on either, or that the prices are swinging so wildly everywhere. Another lhs in Canada wants 300 Canadian for one. Rediculous! I hear of prices in the states jumping from 160us to 260us. Makes one shake there head...

Nice rig man, can't wait to get mine.

Two questions, how good is it wide open?

And did those lights come with it?

Thanks, I like it a lot so far.

It seems to go OK, but I have only run it in the house on hardwood floors. I want to get a decent ESC for it though, I don't like mechanical speed controls much.

The lights did not come with it, I have had them for years. I have 3 or 4 more sets I am going to put on it but they don't have lights in them, I will put some in though. I am also going to build a snow plow and a drag like they use to groom snowmobile trails to put behind it too.

Those tracks look really flimsy. Are they?

I have tons of ESCs so I'll just us one in mine for pefect throttle control.

Does it seem as if you could drop in a 27T stocker or a mild machine wound 19 turn? Or do you think you'd tear up the drivetrain too much?

Nice pictures. Being that most people run mild motors in these a cheaper mtronics waterproof esc would be just the ticket. Then just seal up the reciever and it should be ready to get wet...

I hope to order mine next week.

Yeh, they look a little flimsy but I think they will hold up fine.

What ESC are you going to try? I am thinking either Novak xrs or the $55.00 Associated ESC, can't remember the name of it now.

I think it would be fine. I read somewhere where a guy had a brushless in his with no problems.

I'll just use an old Futaba ESC I have laying around. It's about 15 years old and works great. MC210 I think it is.

ANY cheapo 25 buck basic ESC will run this thing. That stock motor draws very little current. Even a 27T stock motor can be used with the cheapest of ESCs nowadays.

I want an Mtroniks ESC but I can't find one. I had one before and sold it with an RC crawler. I have searched Ebay and they only have them listed in the UK. Any ideas where I can get one in the states?

True, but I was hoping to find a waterproof one so I don't have to worry about a snowflake shorting the darn thing out. I lost an expensive ESC that way once.

I wonder how long before they have them in stock, I don't want to wait for months. I'll call them Monday and see I guess. I can get by with the mechanical till then I guess. I got this mainly to run in the snow and don't want to have to worry about getting it wet.

I have read somewhere about putting the Integy Lathe motor in it, i guess it is slow but has a lot of tourque. If I put a plow and drag on it I might need to do that.

And add about 30 lbs of lead to it inside.

Cause it's way too light and the tracks would just spin when it met any resistance with the plow.

But it would push some powder and the plow would look cool off the front end even if it couldn't push squat.

And I think the stock 540 will have more than enough torque even with a plow and drag. Put the 55T in there and it may be so slow you'll fall asleep.
