hey guys i am a buggy guy but truggys have cought my attention lately because of the poor conditions of my local track. Truggys should be able to handle dips and dimples bumps and stuff better than a buggy correct? the hellfire seems that it will be "the king" of truggys when it comes out. I hate pull-starts/rotostarts...do you guys think that it would be possible to convert the hellfire to a bump-box? here are some pics that might influence ur decision...

Any new word on an official release date? I know HPI says January but they also said november than December.
I did read though that it will also be available in kit form. That would tempt me to throw in the high reving Fantom FR27 engine in it. The company claims 2.9 HP and 43,000 RPM. I did hear the HPI 4.6 engine revs like crazy also.

today at a local hobby shop i was told that the hellfire had some sort of problem. Hpi had to fix this problem and whatever they had to fixed jacked the price up to 1,200! no kidding i saw the e-mail straight from hpi. That price is for an rtr. If this price dosent change i highly dought that ne1 will purchase it. Anyone that pre ordered a hellfire from tower got a deal i guess...

The price has gone up for the Hellfire, but the number you mention is the retail price, which is usally much higher than what they acutally do sell for. The MSRP for the savage was 800 for the kit, but it sold for around 399. There were problems in manufacturing, and the most prices for the Hellfire are around 630-650, not 1200

I'm just going to wait for the kit. Racing season doesn't start up for a while.
