OK....this adjustable "L" bracket you mention really grabbed my attention. Is this something you custom made for yourself or are they available for sale from somebody? More info please!!

Pete,

I haven't done enything with the adjustable stabs, but it's somethimg that I can do at any time by replacing the plastic "L" bracket with the machined adjustable bracket.

Jmiracle, I'm going to have a friend machine an adjustable "L" bracket out of aluminium. It will be a direct replacement for the plastic one. The part that attaches to the fusealage will be on an ecentric that will allow it to move up and down and when set could be pinned to the fusealage. Right now it's just a drawing.

Gator RC makes a set for Pattern plane wings. I'm sure they could be adapted to the stabs on a GS plane somehow. The set comes with 4 adjusters so two for each stab side, just like having two "L" brackets. (good thing in case you loose one of the screws on the stab half.....been there done that. )

www.gatorrc.com

Left hand side "wing adjusters"

Is that a Carden Yak Pete?

BTW are you going to be moving out of the NE region? Or did you decide to change jobs?

No, it's a *gasp* Aerotech 126" Yak. After the run-around I got when trying to buy the Carden Yak kit last year, I wasn't going there again.

Yeah, I am moving to the SE region in June or July (after the kids are done with school). So you've only got a few contests this spring to beat up on me before I go (hopefully the Advanced guys will be more merciful down in the SE and cut me a break!!!)

If anyone knows of any GS friendly clubs near Lynchburg VA, please let me know!!!!

Sorry Pete . . . In many ways . . .

Hey Albert? On to the build!

BTW I assume when you get both the 260 and Yak together, we will meet and trade planes for awhile (I know you want to get your hands on a Cuda) Plus I expect a full 260 vs. Yak report (on the one and only brand to be considered)

Sorry guys, the holidays have slowed me down and I'm going to Vegas for new year's. I will be posting pictures after I come back and will also be buiding a carden yak.

Rob, i don't know if we'll have the yak ready for this summer but the 260 will be ready before the snow melts. All I got to do is build the wings. We'll definetely get together and trade radios. BTW is your dad looking for a set of laser 200 three views? I got an awesome set.

Albert

Charlottesville, VA is probably and hour + away and also has an active giant scale group. The club there is Rivanna RC Club and their website is www.rivannarc.com

Richmond is also probably an hour + away. Ty Lyman lives in the Richmond area- I would get in touch with him.

Even though you are moving, you're still in the "general vicinity" to me- so I am sure we'll still be doing some flying together after your move. I think someone needs to hold an IMAC contest down there....

Dave

Dave, thanks for the info. Definitely will look to setting up an IMAC contest once I get settled - may not be this year.

Maybe Albert will bring along his 260!
