In another topic (that I should have probably put in here to start with) Link to Topic

I'm having some problems Tuning the TRX .15 in my T-Maxx, My temp gun disappeared from my luggage while moving so I'm having to do this without one.

Climate: Currently between mid 20's & mid 30's Fahrenheit & Currently snowing.
Fuel: Blue Thunder 10%

Symptoms: Good Low end, but Engine Bogs and usually dies at half throttle or more once Engine is warmed up.
(Note: I am not using any tinfoil on the head atm)

What I need to know: One or both of 2 things, With the Bogging should I richen or Lean out the HSN, and What settings for this kind of weather should I use (turns from closed) on both the HSN & LSN?

I'm wanting to take my Maxx out in the snow tomorrow & would be grateful if I can get this figured out by or before then

Thanks!

correct me if im wrong people but 30 degrees tempatures isnt exactally the best weather to be running a rc in...what you should do is allow the engine to heat up for around 3 mins because of the tempatures your in. Then run it; tune it when its running at a good tempature that way the climate shouldnt be a problem the reason that it dies at half throtle is that its too lean, and needs to be richened u need to understand that lean means less fuel and rich means more to the engine when u full throttle and it bogs its because your engine is sucking on air rather than fuel, and it dies because its fuel is cut off because you consume all u have to offer. u have to make it "richer" that way the engine is running on gas rather than fumes.

Thanks!

I yeah I know sub 30F temps arent the best, but I dont have a lot of choice in the matter since I live here in Idaho.

I figure If i put some foil around about half the head that it should keep the engine temps up to acceptable levels, or am I wrong?

that can somtimes help but not really the heatsink will absorb heat (the little colored thing on the top that gets hot as hell...engine is underneath it) and keep the engine warm the thing with the foil i went up to alaska with a friend and he did the same seemed to help the engine however lol the foil some how screwd with the reciever so the car went outa control into a pole and totaled his brand new savage lol..ive seen the foil work and ive seen it go baddd my sudgestion stay away from it just allow your engine to heat up your heatsink should do the rest =D
