I'm sure Chuck also will insist that his story is the correct version also, does any one really care.

I do, but it's yet to be told. Haven't seen him around lately......

Three sides to every tale, and we have not heard from Reid, Jones, Lebel and the others, maybe if we listen to the Mulroney tapes close enough we can find out the true story.

Seems like the thread on the can is petered out too.

You can read Ken Jones' account in his book The History of MAAC.

This is the second time I've heard of this book. I did a quick google search and located references to this book in various collections but .... how do I get a copy for my own reading?

Both Amazon and Chapters have the book listed but identified as unavailable.

I would like to have a look at one as well.

It took a bit of archeology on my old Mac, but I finally found Ken. He moved back from BC to Ontario, to Mooretown in the SW Zone, right near the western border with the States. The email address I have for him is kenjones@river.net

http://www.rccanada.ca/bb/viewtopic.php?t=18603&start=390.............27 pages and counting, and the thread on the can has gone full circle from accountability and reporting on the 2005 maac organizers to accountability and reporting on maac's part to the usual personal attacks on marc sharpe and claiming for the banning of individuals off the can.

thanks to the can, this may be maac's finest hour! The PR value this has created for maac and the nats is priceless.

Actually, the unholy mess on the Can & the ensuing revelations give me a high level of comfort that MAAC is really getting its act together. The MAAC Exec & BOD are clearly acting in a manner that demonstrates absolute propriety. The probs lie outside the overall MAAC leadership & are confined to difficulties within a single zone. Whatever the outcome of Nats 2006, those zone-related problems will likely be rectified in due course.

MAAC could ultimately be a much better organization, in the eyes of the members, as a result of this painfull experience. Thanks to the lessons obviously learned in 2002, & the currently very proper handling of the Nats 2006 controversy, the general membership should be much more comfortable with the organization. I certainly am.

Even Marc himself will admit he asks for it. part of his strategy.

And that's the saddest part.
It really ticks me off that some gloat about this mess.... all seemingly in the interest of defaming a couple individuals ... at the cost of MAAC and the hobby.
