Ok, I have a Tmaxx, looking to add another truck to my collection. I was wondering your opinions, good and bad on the Savage SS and Revo. I am considering the savage because its a kit and I would rather build than a RTR. However I have heard nothing about the 4.6 engine. I am looking for just bashing fun, racing w/ friends but no sanctioned competition.

Having a Tmaxx I realize I will probably end up putting a OS18tm in the Revo. I hate the 2.5, but the revo otherwise looks like a great truck. Your opinion and WHY is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Harvick

yes get a revo because you can use them for bashing and racing savages are more bashers

If you go with a revo, I'd highly reccomend getting an RB TM323 versus the O.S. .18TM simply because the O.S. has a little less power. If you are only bashing, you may want more in the long run.

I'd have to agree w/ Freez.
I also own both, but the Revo is probably a better choice as you are already familiar w/ Traxxas products.

and the revo weighs quite a bit less than a savage, but you can use the same motors with a new mount. a revo with a 30 will smoke a savage with a 30.

On the little bumps / jump the revo rocks it is a very fast truck. But if you tend to crash alot or like to hit big jumps more then one time without repairs get a Savage they are WAY STRONGER!!!

I run a Tmaxx,Revo, and I fly a Savage...

I agree, the revo is not a basher, but it does perform well on the track. I'm selling my revo and buying a savage 4.6

Ok, if you got a stock revo and a stock savage 4.6 which would win in a race? (put you bias pride away revo and savage owners) Honest answer. I think savage, it has more stock power.

The savage 4.6ss would kill the revo. The 4.6 engine puts out twice the power of the TRX 2.5. No contest really.
