After looking over threads of bodies i decided that my revo needs a new look. I would like a basic body like a ram or a f130 an then to have it blue with white stripes going up the middle. Can you post your hints and tips including paints and stripes. I appriciete any replys,
zach

I am a noob too, but you can try using the liquid mask and then draw your design on the outside of the body. Then you can use some type of blade to cut the design out. Try not to be too thin or too thick with the mask. Too thin and it won't come off, too thick and it won't dry.

I used this technique on my LST.

here are a couple of shells I have done with racing stripes

maybe this will help you a bit

The way I do my racing stripes is super simple. descide on how wide you want your stripes and find masking tape of that width, you can do multiple widths as well. descide where you want them to sit on the shell (i usually will lay the tape down on the outside to get a feel for where I want them to sitoutline them with a sharpie then prep you body by washing it with hot soapy water, scuff the inside of the body with a piece of steele wool or a soft scrubbing pad (scotch brite) wash it again lay in your window masks and tape off your stripes by following inside the lines you marked on the outside of the shell. if you are painting stripes darker then the base color you will have to mask the entire body except for the stripes and paint them first. if you base color is darker just mask off the stripes paint the base color then remove the masking tape and paint the stripes.

Let the paint dry between light even coats of each color and when you are finished with each color before removeing the masking.
