If the tracks rough that wont be a reason to change diff oil. The consistancy is a reason to change diff oil. Normally if the dirts very loose you want heavier oil to make sure all of the tires are getting more power to pull it through the loose dirt. If the diff oil is light then it just throws the power to the wheel with the least amound of grip.

For shock oil I wouldn't go any lower then 30 weight. Anything between 40 and 30 would be good just make sure the rear doesn't have a heavier weight or the buggy will probably try to nose dive off of jumps. Also go with soft or medium springs. The rest is all in your racing line. Try to find one that will let you get through the section smooth.

Dave, I don't know why you say you get nose dive if you've got lighter oil in the front? Tried 40wt front / 45wt rear on the K3 and it doesn't dive.
Take off the sway bars too. Supposed to work better on a bumpy track.

I've tried it before with my hyper and it nosedived quite a bit. Depends on the buggy too.
