Just picked up a competion X for my Mini-t. I've converted the T for onroad racing and its a blast. The T seems to have been built not only for dirt but for pavement racing. Now to my problem. I've noticed that when the voltage on the Lipo hits 7.24, the speed controller starts an automatic shut down on trottle response. I've programmed the mamba to shutoff at 6v. Thats still 1.24v difference left for me to play with. Has anyone experienced this type of problem. There is also a matter of when I turn the microswitch off the motor will run for a few seconds then it shuts off. Overall, when the TP 7.4 2s 1900 pack is freshly charged at 8.30v I get about 25 minutes of playing time until it hits 7.24v. I've been keeping up with the amount of play time just to see where the problem lies. The motor stays cool even though I'm running a 17t pinion aswell. My T is decked out with Trinity CF chassis and shock towers. No alluminums. I've got a losi ball diff and dual clutch setup also.

Thanx to anyone that can help me solve this minor problem.

if you get 25 minutes of run time with a mamba 8000 motor and only a 1900mah battery then i'd say you shouldnt be complaining!

guys,

thanks for replying back. The lipo thing is so new to me and just didn't know what to expect in terms of run time. I just thought that it would start to shut down once it reached the programmed parameters. Now, what is COGGING? I also have that problem when the the Microswitch is tuned off. Is that normal for the Comp X?

Thnx

cogging is when you hit the gas and the truck just jiggles around and the motor makes all kinda noises.. the motor needs to be given more initial starting power. its caused by not enough umph from the battery, or too much gear, or too heavy of a truck, or something binding the driveline.

i dont think you usb program the mini mamba (25) with usb.. u just use the switch and go throught the transmitter to input what you want.
