Thanks Peter.. yeah i will keep my eyes open.. they do have a good one coming soon for EDIT: 450's... which supposedly requires less work to assemble... from Helidirect

here is the link..

http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=59&products_id=2808

I also saw a lady in our HS with a TREX with a scale of heli from GI Joe heli.. she said.. that she bought the heli toy and got the body.. and put it in TREX-SE.. looked really nice.. but didnt see her fly..

anyways.. will keep on looking for something easy to assemble..

Thanks.. .. ps. looking forward to the video..

squadri.

Hi Squadri

If you want a boring Airwolf why not try one of these... Airwolf fuse 95% ready built so just what you're looking for.

I'm sure you could find them on a US site.

Karyn

Edit: I didn't look at the link you posted untill after I posted mine as you gave the impression it was for a 600 but its a 450 fuse like the one I posted.

Thanks Karyn for pointing my error out and also for the link.. yeah I think i will get it for the 450 once they are back on stock.....

I also corrected the typo..

weather here is getting better again.. i had two flights yesterday.. Trex-SA and MX450xs... wind was barely enough to breath..
.. which is a good sign.. and the temp was around 65 F. great.. enough day light.. felt like my life is coming back.. again.. glad winter is over here.... or that is i believe..

rest is fine.. take care all..

Welcome aboard.. Adrian from all of us..

congrats on purchasing TREX-SE... excellent choice.. your gear sounds good.. but in terms of servos.. i really like Hs65hb's for my SE as well has SA... because of 3 hole already existing.. you don't need to do any mods.. on them for installation.

keep us posted.. i have also flown Vnr3d.. but the head was too fragile.. but i liked their 4in1 box for their good tail holding better then blade cp- but parts were too expensive.. knowing it is a walkera brand...

good luck on your setup.. and happy flying.

Hey guys and gal(s),

Lloyd emailed me the other day to update me on his Heli exploits.

Anyway, I was wondering if we shouldn't make up a new forum for all of us to continue with since we've advanced way beyond MX400 and Trexes (although we of course still love and fly them).

Maybe we could call it "the Trex and MX400 pro club, 1 year later, where are they now?" or I'm sure someone could come up with a better name for a forum where we could continue to talk about our continued progress with helis.

As for me, I've been focusing on some scale projects. Just bought the MD500 fuselage for my Raptor 90 and man is this thing awesome. And the best part is that it flies well because I'm used to flying my raptor.

What have you guys been up to?

Here is my current military fleet ready to defend me at any time

-Peter

Hey everyone!

The weather has finally turned here and I've been flying my Trex quite a bit lately. Unfortunately, yesterday I put it into the ground pretty hard. The head came apart pretty bad. Anyway, I went online to a couple sites and can't find all the parts I need. Can anyone recommend a good website that has a great selection of parts for the SE?

Doug

Hi Doug:

Try Tech Models http://www.tech-mp.com/

Very reliable with good prices.

As Peter implied, have been "away" past few Mos, but will be back soon. Just took my Trex & Xmitter to the bench for "tuning" & charging. Have full catch-up to do including my Twinn Rexx.

Hey All,

Doug, My favorite dealers are GrandRC, ReadyHeli, RCHover and HeliDirect.

I just bought the new V2 which was an impulse buy. They had it at my LHS at a good price and I had just finished taxes (got a refund). The new motor is a really great kit motor and delivers similar performance to my upgraded setup with the Medusa 28-40-3400. I'm going to upgrade my V1s to V2 heads. Ed from GrandRC is going to let me know when he gets the new heads in. The new V2 head performs better than the V1. It is noticable.

I hope you all are getting some flying in. I've been a heli nut lately. I bought a second TRex 600 and converted it to a 10s. I took apart my night flyer and made it a 4S machine. That delivers a lot of power. I took my Medusa motor and got a 10T pinion. The performance is really good and the batteries (which are the basic Align 16c 2100 4S) run cool and run times are a little longer than a 3S setup.

Nice fleet Peter!

Take care!

Joe

Joe,

Sounds like you're leaning towards the electrics. Do you find them more convenient or are there other reasons it seems like you're using them more.

Are you still into the nitro helis?

As for me, my easiest helicopter to get out and fly is still my MX400 Pro because I've flown it so much I just have it well tuned and I think I have about 6 lipos at this point so I can fly for quite a while on battery.

My Vario cobra (pictured earlier) is way more than a hand full with it's pullstart 26cc engine humming like a chainsaw as I "try" to fly it. This big scale birds are a whole lot harder to tune than the small electrics so this takes some of the fun out of it.

Peter,

Yes I do like the "cleanliness" and convenience of electrics. I have found a flying spot near my work that I can take my TRex 600 out during my lunch break.

I did sell my Raptor 50 to fund the TRex 600 10S but I still have my Stratus. I'm also have an Avant Aurora on order (and have all the electronics waiting to be installed). However, we'll see when it actually comes out.
