Necessarily so. We're not talking about the capabilities of one engine compared to another. We're talking taking a specific engine and increasing the stress on it. All else being equal, more load = more wear. I'm sure a Jett will outlast most anything with the same power output. A Jett is better built of better materials than most other engines. That's why they cost so much. However, any engine run just fat of peak will last longer than when it is run on peak.

I guess when you have an engine that was actually made for racing like the Jett's or Nelsons, then you aren't going to have that much wear as like what you would have with an OS or TT. Because, while they are made to run those high RPMS, the Jetts are made much better!

I have used a Macs tunes pipe header, I cut 3/4" of the header off..J-B welded the 3/4"piece onto the bottom of the moouse can, and put a 1/4"ID X2" aluminum tube on the top of the can. I used a silicone cuppler to join the 2 of em and used a pipe hanger to support the can. I dont know that it was effective for any HP increase, but it was a functional muffler.
