Too big for flowers. Of course, knowing her it could be curtain rods

I want to thank RCKen and Great Planes for all their efforts in bringing back the Ulatra Sports. I've got the wing on my US 60 mostly framed up and will hopefully get started on the fuse over the holidays.

Again, THANK YOU KEN!!!

theo63,

I've never been a big fan of the nylon hinges. I've always used Radio South hinges for my Arf's and kits. Whichever ones you use, don't forget to pin them

Happy Holidays

I don't know which nylon hinges they provided but I'm sure they are fine. Kit was put out before some of the new chemistry though. May I suggest http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCX67&P=7 for installing nylon hinges? Good stuff and pinning is optional with the right adhesive properly applied.

Pin a CA hinge? What on Earth for? They don't need it.

mine came with the 4 holes on them and they are pretty skinny as well so i was a little leary on useing them, plus it said epoxy them in after covering and i hate epoxy around my new cover job,,lol it always seems to find its way on to the covering and then i get fingerprints and that spot i always forget to wipe or miss till its too late,im sure we have all been there done that

I guess I might as well.

One of these days I'm going to build something and NOT have to document every step LOL!

To be honest , I`ve been sitting on mine , waiting to see if you got one for x-mas.

I would`nt blame you for not doing a build thread .lol But if you do , you can bet , I`ll be following along building my own.

Went to order the retracts but thier out of stock , so that might slow things down some.

Mike,
If you don't want to do a build thread on one I will do it. I'm going to build an Ultra Sport even if I don't have one under the tree. I've got enough kits stashed that I can build one with no problems.

Ken

That's ok, the good thing about doing one is that it will give me a chance to show a close-up version of the flap mod and moving the retracts out, etc.

That doesn't mean we BOTH can't do one
