Status: offline 		I opened my kit up about 2 days ago and have found that I have a warped cabane strut. How can I fix this or order a replacement? It also has what looks to be a bad cut on the wing saddle on the cabane strut. It's only about 1/4 of an in inch missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Status: offline 		Don't worry about the warp on the strut. When you cover it you can straighten that out a little and well once the plane gets bolted together it'll sort itself out. Plywood has a very bad habit of warping and bending but it doesn't hurt the plane in the end at all. Other thing you could do is to lightly wet it and iron it straight a little. But trust me once you get heat close to ply it warps. Nature of the beast I suppose.

Not sure what you mean on the funny cut? Can you post a picture?

Status: offline 		Although the picture quality is lacking, I think that you can get what I'm talking about with the miscut on the cabane strut.

Status: offline 		That little gap is not going to hurt the model structurally at all. You don't even have to fill it in other words. The two holes in the cabanes are the critical bits and well so are the tabs that go into the wings. Those are the bits that are going to make the difference in the long run when the incidences etc come into play. You can even fill that with balsa if it bothers you for that matter. If you use enough CA the balsa filler will be hardened enough. A small piece of harder wood might be better for durability though. Also you won't see the filler on that thing because it will be hidden under the top wing.

Anyways..that's my views. And not the views of OMP.

Status: offline 		Hey Wessco, that is a true odd one on me! Never have I seen the laser make some weird cut like that. Especially since it is computer controlled from a CAD file. Looks like the work of a rogue virus! If you feel the structural integrity of the part is in question please shoot me a PM with your address and we can send you a new part.
