Is this a lesson for new RC truck owners to get a Fail Safe installed as soon as possible? LOL Been there but my 1st TMAXX ran off into the woods. It didn't get too far before the brush stopped it. I bet it's scarry if you're where there's traffic though or like at a Walmart parking lot where my Warhead took a driverless ride and ended up under the wheel of a parked car in another parking lot. Only munched the spur gear and reved to the max. There are a bunch of good ones out there guys. Be sure to get one. They shut your throttle off (brake) when the batteries get low.
    This will help:

    Clutch Issues, All Please Read....

Was reading another article in the main forum and I ran across a message from a guy who owns a Hobby Shop. He basiclly said duratrex warheads are Great and tought trucks, but the clutch are only 2 shoes and the clutch springs are weak which then causes problems and makes a mess for the rest of the tranny and possible engine. He also said duratrex is aware of this and trying to fix the problem. All of us warhead people need to call Duratrex and keep on them so they can fix it asap. The article also said and informed us which clutch bell and parts to use. I think I am just going to order the diff clucth parts for now and once Duratrex fixes there issue then I will go back to the stock part..... Heres the link:

Fixed mine last night other than the engine mount. Installed failsafe, hump pack and the charge jack switch ( thanks Bill and mikerc $7at the LHS).

It run well today, getting better every time. I had to lean it out big time, that air leak around the carb must have been a big leak. I hit that stump again, just a little A-arm damage, nothing broke.

Have you guys adjusted your shift point at all? Mine was shifting at like 10'. I think that's why I thought I had clutch slippage, it was that it was in 2nd gear way to soon, before it got up to a suitable speed. There was no way I was getting the full potential power at bottom end.

    Does that make since?

I started adjusting, but I'm not done yet. I had to turn it allot to even start seeing a differencein shifting.

As I'm adjusting and getting more fuel through it, I like what I'm seeing.

If it's broken, just fix it............ If it's not broken, just run it.

No Problem. I've never adjusted the shift points. Seems as though as the motor breaks in the shift point chamges come natural.
