Can anyone comment on how loud the warhead is? I'm debating between ordering this or a Monster GT in the next 2 days while tower still has its sale. Is one truck louder than the other? I'd run this in backyard and stuff and don't want to really annoy the neighbors.

nitro MTs are NOT neighbor friendly lol, they are all annoying if you dont like RC. I cant comment on DB level, id say average compared to any other MT with stock pipes and all.

(not that I know what average is hehe)

Well I had heard that they were not much louder than a nitro helicopter from someone else and they are not that loud, but a number of years back when I considered getting a nitro truck, people told me that they were much louder than the nitro helicopter.

I too am going to by a MT before Tower's special ends 12-31-05.

I just cant make up my mind, but I am down to two:

    Revo or
    Warhead

Wish I could afford both (NOT)

Recently we have been running on a parking lot, and occasionally off in the grass.
My Associate RC10GT just doesn't go in the tall stuff, But the T-maxx's
    I am running with do.
This is why I want a MT

If you Warhead owners could tell me that the Warhead will run as fast or even faster than the t-maxx's, there would be no guestion.
But from this thread posting 36.92 mph will not compete with the rated 40+ T-maxx
Knowing the Revo cost a little more, and will compete:
I am still hung-up, and running out of time.

    Anyone got any suggestions?
I also would like to know if the Warhead turnes over as easy as a T-maxx?

(Bill, thanks for the e-mail reply, I checked out all of those review on the Revo, very impressive and persuading, But I am still hung-up)

    Thanks for the comment!

You should be able to answer my two most important questions:

Will the Warehead run as fast as the Revo/T-maxx assuming its at its best tune?

And does the Warehead turn over as easy as the T-maxx's?
assuming the Revo turnes over as easy as the T-maxx's!

We'll see how my Warhead fair at the BMX park after catching some air, once I get it up and running again and the engine fully broken in.

volfy, ive made a ramp for my warhead in the mountains, and it flies extremely well. in fact, i spent almost an entire tank jumping it it was so much fun. its also very good at hill climbing. ive run it up a 150 foot long hill here with an average slope of about 25 to 30 degrees with no problem at all, the engine wasnt even stressed doing it. plus, just expect the super tiger to get even better after about a gallon. ive got close to a gallon and a half and it holds mixture adjustments very well and will idle almost forever.

Hey elite when I get home tomorrow I will redo the video. I use a macintosh and I think the file name may be causing the issue. Others have said they can't view it either. Since mac is unix based the long filename may be the issue. I can view it fine on my computer but my brother in law can't on Windows either. Check back tomorrow and I'll test it on both platforms before reposting. My truck is really starting to run pretty good now that I have about 7 tanks through it. Can't wait till warmer weather so I can really start jumping it. My LHS is just starting to get parts in stock, I've been using tower so far which stinks because when I break something I have to wait another week. From the sounds of things the Warhead seems to be selling pretty fast. My LHS has sold 5 of them so far in just a few weeks. I hope this is a good sign that after market hop ups are on the way. I'd love to get aluminium parts for this baby. I'm talking to a company that I did their web site for to see if they would build me some custom parts, they do lots of CNC work with metals.

    rcagp,

Yes that's the part I broke. When you order you get both front ones, left and right. I also broke the front chassis bulkhead. Keep in mind everyone that I was running when it was only around 30 degrees and fliped over, my fault. That broke the bulkhead. The second part I broke was the servo savers aka front left lower bell crank. I broke that when jumping a ramp and only hit the ramp with two wheels. The truck did a cartwheel and it was only around 40degrees. I'd say order these two parts would be a good idea just in case, hate waiting a week for parts from tower. I will be sending back the broken parts for replacement from Duratrax. So far all parts broken are covered under Stress Tech warranty. I don't believe any other trucks over that! :-)
