I put in an axial 32 motor. All you need to do it is a Ofna shim kit, sg nut (I used the duratrax raze one), reuse the fly wheel and collet off the old motor. The carb has to be turn around 180 plus a little to clear the spur gear. I filed off a little of the tanny support to clear the screw on the end of the sg shaft. I also bought 2 non flange clutch bell bearings (5x10) for the bell. Any large block motor will fit. The Axial motors carb has to be turned a little strange to clear the spur gear but it works. Other motors may not have this problem. My axial uses a pull start whick is better because I no longer have to carry around the started and remember to charge it. I would recommend using a pull start engine and get a team associate primer ball for the fuel line.

that is a great engine to use and i think i will be putting in the same. i use a k4.6 hpi enigne with roto start. if you do use a engine with a roto start you will need to grind down the egnine mount just a hair. it's realy no big deal to do. a pull start will work just as good. besides if the engine is tune right it should start on the fist or sec pull. i do not reccomend the axial 28 spec 1 RR. i have that in my savage and i am buring up clutches. you just need a good monster truck engine. another is the lrp 3 monster truck engine. this engine is great and the power and speed are great.

    Here it is.
Greatest thing since sliced bread. Make starting the engine so easy. And if I don't use all the fuel in the tank then I can pump it out with this back into the fuel bottle.

well you can change your rims and tires, you might want to install the aluminum servo saver assy. that helps alot. i know the stock plastic breaks alot.
