The axial 32 will fit. You will need the collet, flywheel, clutch and clutch bell off the old engine. You will have to purchase a sg nut because the warhead engine does not use one. You can use a ofna sg nut or do what I did and I used a duratrax raze sg nut (DTXC4134). I also ordered the ofna clutch bell kit. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNT03&P=7 You will need the screw and spacers from the kit to set up the spacing of the clutch bell.
You can use the old clutch bell bearings but I used a set of non flange bearings 5x10. You will need to rotate the carb a little beyond 180 degress to get the HS needle to clear the spur gear. You may need to file a little of the tranny support off to give the screw that holds the clutch bell on clearance. Test fit first to see how much clearance you will need.

After letting my POS warhead sit for the last year (this is after i have sent it back to DTX and took it to the local hobby shop and had them work on it) Ive decided to rip into it hopefully with some of yalls advice. After looking for DTX parts on tower hobbies I see DTX changed the name of the war head is this correct. I have the engine taken out now and my question is.... the spindle that the spur gear is on when I move it the wheel dont move should this be (im thinking no) but I wasnt sure if it had something to do with that forward/reverse thing Anythoughts would be most helpfull

    Mess,
During the winter I decided to get an airbrush and try my hand at painting these things. It's not hard to do but kind of hard to get used to the idea of painting reverse style. I got to run it this weekend and it runs and handles great! I have to tweak the tuning because it's running rich but I was having fun and decided just to drive it. The guy that camps near me saw it and said I have one of those but it won't run. He called his wife, who was getting ready to come out to the camp and told her bring his truck out. We put fuel in it and the engine was locked up. It wasn't a Warhead, it's a duratrax maximum with a fairly new engine. I asked him what happened the last time you had it out. He said it kept stalling so he put it in the box and left it in the garage. That was last year. Well to make a long story short, we pulled the head, freed the piston, cleaned the fuel tank, and got it started. We tuned it a bit so it wouldn't stall and it looked like we were ready to run. We set it on the ground hit the throttle, it moved 2 feet and stopped, needs a new clutch. I'll try to help him out getting it fixed but I can see that alot of people don't take the time to find out how these things work or how to maintain them, then they say it's a piece of garbage.
