Hey there...

Thanks for writing.

Nothing really new - the engine is basically the same QM40 engine that we have been flying and doing extremely well with. Dub won last year at the NMPRA championship race at Tangerines with the same engine. Mike was second in FL in May, Won at Bowie ... all did well at the NATS. You are seeing and hearing more and more about it mainly because more and more folks are flying them.

I was pleased to see that Dave Doyle and a few others ran very well this past weekend. (wish I could have been there too!)

The only change to the engine of late was as slight tweek to the muffler internally.

The big difference is the new APC prop available, that is much better suited for the engine. The Tangerines was the first race they were allowed to be used at. They work very well, and work consistantly.

Up until now we all ran wood on the Jett QM engines - was the only way to get the proper setup. The existing APC carbon prop was designed for the Nelson, and did not work quite that well on the Jett QM-40 engine.

The Jett and Nelson QM-40 engines are similar, but are also different. Those that remember that "rule" and set/configure/prop the Jett engines properly have very good success with them.

Bob
