I have the following setup being tested for my 30% edge.

Futaba 6XAs
HITEC 5625 x 4
HITEC 805
6V battery

I understand that the buzzing is from the digital servos - fine.
I plugged one of the 5625's into my retract port and it gives me a glitch that affects all of the other servos every few minutes, or when the retract servo is loaded up a bit. Is this normal? I don't plan on running retracts obviously (edge 540, but that'd be cool!) but it isn't out of the question to use a digital servo for retracts since it is full programmable.

Thoughts?

Peter Gordon

There should not be any feedback from any of the servos. Are you using a regulator?

Mike.

No, I'm not using a voltage regulator. But how many people actually do? I'm just using a 5 cell sanyo pack.

That is the thing though. It doesn't seem to matter which servo I plug into the retract port. All of my new 5625's make the jitter occur. Otherwise, they seem to work just fine. Only when plugged into the retract port is there a glitch.

Oh well...

That's kind of like when you go to the doctor and you tell him it hurts when I do this... and the doctor says "Don't do that then!"

Mike,

Are you telling me not to use Hitec Digital servos in my retract port?

Peter

Well, since I see no reason to use a digital servo for retracts and there apears to be an issue with your particular set up then it might be easier to just not use the digital if everything else is fine.
