The plane is built light yet strong. The interior construction is top knotch. All the pieces appear to
be laser cut and all the joints have an excellent fit. There is plenty of room inside the fuselage to
work and place all of your components. The rudder servo bay is pre-cut for those who want to use
the pull/pull system.

The plane comes with what appears to be fairly complete heavy duty hardware set. I plan
to use most if not all of it. It also comes with two nice large wheels, spinner, fuel tank and
wheel pants as I have already mentioned. It even comes with a large rudder servo arm for
the pull-pull system. The only other hardware I might need to buy are some push rods and
switches.

The plane really grows as you assemble it. When I first removed the fuselage it looked like it belonged on
a 30% plane. I couldn't wait to see how the plane looked, so I did a partial assemble. In person, the wing
area looks huge on this plane. A wing area of 1740 sq in for a plane that will weigh only 20 lbs should produce
a serious 3D floater. I am going to have my cowl custom painted. The cowling is very high quality and will be
painted to match your plane unless you specify otherwise. You will also have the option to have the canopy
trimmed in black.

Columbo,
Any chance you can weigh the bare airframe and hardware pack. I am interested in getting one of these planes, but I am curious if it will really finish at 19.5 lbs with a ZDZ 80 RV. Also I thought the new planes were coming through with the canopy frame areas painted to match the fuse top covering. It appears as though your canopy is totally clear. From your pictures it looks nicely built.
Thanks, Travis

Travis,

The canopy frames will be matched if you specify. I'll try to have a bare weight posted
sometime this weekend.

Notice the fit of the wings within the fuselage socket. No big spaces or gaps . Also the control
surfaces come pre-hinged and include heavy duty plastic hinges with a metal connecting rod.

So far, I am very impressed with the model. I plan to start constuction tomorrow and will post some
more pictures Friday. I contacted Gerhard at AI, and he reaffirmed that the engine should be here
by mid January. If that is the case, I should be able to maiden by the third or 4th week of January
weather permitting.

Greg

The plane looks very nice, it would be good to know what the kit weighs if possible

Why ther are no holes in the the foam? The other toc1 yaks have holes!

Not sure what you mean by holes in the foam. The stab attaches with
an aluminum tube. The elevator servo fits inside the stab.
