11 1/4" for the cowl, 10 3/4" for the mounting ring.

It is a large cowl.

To anyone that has not received theirs yet. The cowl has an excellent paint job and is made of some nice sturdy fiberglass. Covering is excellent with no wrinkles, and I'm not exaggerating. Finish work is good on the wood, I see very little through the covering. In short, this is the nicest, most complete, and best packaged ARF I have seen. Only issue I see is that the included wheels may be too large to fit the wheel pants. Very impressive product.

Carrolll,
See if your 100 or 106 would fit.
Over kill but, like a shock flyer! Probably tear the front right off.
After adding cans or tuned pipes it would not be much more weight.
all hanger 9's 33% call for a 100 and weigh more.

Greg,

I have the stock scheme, orange and blue on white with black checkers. I don't plan on posting pictures, but if someone would like to see something I would take a pic and post it. How is your's coming?

Travis,

The spinner measures 4 1/16".

Stomper,

I'm sure you will be happy with this plane, and glad you bought one.

So far I have the wings and stabs done and the landing gear mounted. I am
getting ready to assemble the pull-pull system for the rudder. After that I will
assemble the motor box and wait for my engine to arrive which should be here
in about 5-8 days.

Do you think there is a spot to mount the rudder servo in the back and use a pushrod?? instead of the pull pull system?? Just thinking.

That would be a real big job, I got the 30% and you are best doing pull pull, mounting it in the tail would not be as good a controle in any way.

I'd worry about the ballance if you put the rudder servo in the rear. 2 oz in the rear is probably a lot to counter ballance up front. I'm guessing about 7 oz. Mine should arrive on the 20th Citrus color, I can't wait.

How does the workmanship compare to the 87" EF YAK?

I had the EF Yak, in fact I have assemembled four of them, (50cc size). EF are nice planes.

I will only comment that the workmanship of ARFs has improved greatly as time goes on.
