no its all good ...i pretty much know i can part with the 26-10, i like the 8 better, but until i try the 26b i dont know if im keeping the 26-8, so its up to you if you want to wait if you think you may want both, then i can box them together, but i am thinking i may still like the 8 anyway, if you want the 10 let me know, i can give you a deal for being a repeat customer, haha , going to be a while till i try anything, no plane yet

how would you guys feel about 5985's on ele and 5645's on wings? i have some 45's thats why id like to use them, they are slower than most high torque stuff now but i think on wings could be good right? be nice to use them somewhere other than a throttle, and the 85's are nice and fast and should work on ele nicely right? no word on plane yet but i may order servos cause i need some other stuff anyway...

5985's is OK on elevators. The 5645's would be OK torque-wise, but they are not known to be the most precise servo around. Centering is below par for a digital servo. For 3D flying it would be OK (ailerons are rarely in center ) For precision flying I would use 5985's instead.
Just my opinion...

thanks for the input, i know they arent the best, they used to be back in the day, haha, i just hate to not use them somewhere so i figure ailerons would be the best option really
as far as the 5955 versus 8711, the jr is not metal gear are they?? doesnt say in my horizon book, i know the torque and speed is great, but durability isnt there, hear me out, i had bought a comp arf with 4721's or something like that, hight torque coreless nylon servos on all 4 surfaces(ail and ele), i pancaked it in doing a low troll, stripped out the ele servos, wasnt a really hard hit, broke the landing gear and that was it, okay i will give it the benefit of taking an impact, so i replaced them with metal 5625's, eventually i crashed the plane harder , the other 2 aileron servos stripped out, the 5625's not only lasted but are flying in another plane now....i know we dont build with a crash in mind but that was $300 and some dollars gone besides the crash of the plane, i know stuff like that happens and anything can be damaged in an impact, but i wasnt thrilled with that especially since the metal ones made it through and hit just as hard if not harder, so i am leaning towards the 5955 still, the only reason still considering the 8711 is that in the center of the plane as a pull pull, it may be protected should something bad happen ....anyway, thats my thoughts, curious what you guys think....not bad mouthing jr's or anything just sharing an experience, keep that in mind when replying

The 8711 is metal gear, but not titanium like the 5955's. The 8711 gear will most likely wear out much faster than the 5955 gears.

see i didnt know it was metal, my horizon book has MG after metal gear servos but not after that one, i will check the website i guess too, if its metal then i wouldnt hesitate, especially since some fo you say the 5955 isnt quite enough

Dave a single 8711 flys my 102 inch Extra rudder without any problems. Whenever I build this 33% it will have 8711 on the rudder as the first one with 5955 had tail wag on half power passes and I was not thrilled with it.

just got word mine shipped out monday, should be here soon, yeeeehaaaa, i have the motor-zdz80-, and 2 5645's for wings, 2 5985's for ele, thats about it for now, the rest will have to wait for a couple more paychecks, trying not to put it all on cc, but i may give in and go for it anyway, haha, so i will get a 8711 for the rudder, will look to see what arms and ext i have, then will check with you guys and see if mine work and what else i need, i have in my 88 yak 2 1650mhyd batts for reciever and 1 1650 on ign, i think i will do the same cause it seems to work well and i do have a field charger i bring with in case i am there all day, i was considering 2 2000's for the reciever though, any thoughts, i am sticking with hydromax batts i love them and have good luck, not sure if the little extra wieght is worth the extra mah's or not, i think the 1650 on ign is okay, seems now after a few flights when i check my ef yak the reciever batts may be at 70% and the ign is at 80%, what do you guys think? stick with same set up or try 2 2000's on reciver? or just go with 3 2000's all around?

Dave by the time you get your other planes out of the trailer to fly you might find that the two 1650' woulld be plenty. I ran one FAUP 1950 on my brother's Orange 33% and it would give around 6-10 min flights before it hit 6.05 v and I stopped. I find it hard to run batteries down too far when trailering more than one. Also you can be field charging while you are flying the other.

I hope you can post some pictures. If this is a new shipment from overseas then it would be interesting to see if there are any upgrades.....Mine does not have a slot for a rudder servo and I wish it had.

Richard

well just opened it up, chief says they upgraded things in the wing and landing gear, didnt get into specifics so i dont know yet, unwrapped everything, i do have a question a concern, my wing measures about 44.5", is that the right one? the box says 33%, the reason i ask is there is clearly 2 servo mounts per wing, the latest manual i downloaded still says 1, i wonder if they changed that? did yours have 2 and you just used one? if so which one? measuring from the inside(fuse) to about center of servo hole, the 1st is about 10.25 and the second is about 28.25, neither is close to center of ailron, so seems to me i need to use 2, just one on the inner would be alot of off balance aileron to flex right? i was am kinda dissapointed if thats the case, i wanted this size cause of 2 less servos and no matchboxes or powerboxes, the h9 sukoi clearly says just 1 servo per wing on that one and its similar size, i dont know that i would have not bought this plane just for this reason, but i really didnt want to have to set up 2 extra servos, let me know if anyone else has the same thing, i will deal with it i guess and i am sure i will love the plane once i fly it, just extra money and time i wasnt looking forward to...other than that it looks beautiful ,

i may stick with the 2 1650s then, i am not sure if i will be taking both big planes out at the same time all the time, but i will have the electric in the car to fly if i need to charge the batts
