After all season flying my Skymaster F-18C in primer grey colour.





Finally I grounded her and after one month painting this is the result.

She flyes impressive with the power and quick response of the Merlin. I am very happy with this turbine, easy to operate, low maintenance and great performance.

I have drawn all the stencils of this scheme in Autocad 2000 files. I can mail to anyone who needs them.


I share some more good images of my Hornet flying this summer in Huesca (Spain) during an Air Display in her previous color. Also I enclose a picture of the service panel of this model in the rear area of the cockpit.

Before painting, I apply a coat of primer. That will give us better paint adhesion, very important later on when peeling the masking tape.

Final finish after the bright clear laquer. This scheme requires bright finish, even in base grey.
