ok for the charger u have when they say, " Not Discharge Battery Cells smaller than Sub-C Size
("Sub-C" is one size smaller than a "C" size) they are talking about cycleing the battery to give it more power and runtime(charge+discharge+chare)how ever many cycles it goes for, not sure which they recamend you don't with the smaller micro batterys. I am thinking the battery your new heli will come with is a 8cell 9.6 volt battery this charger can charge it but you need to set the amps down low, right ater .5 amps and no higher. You should be able to charge the battery in 40 mins or so depending on the mah.

Instead of the li-on go for lipo's. Awhile ago I read about the diferences in both types and li-on's seems to be crappier. Thunder power makes some really good lipo's. Can that heli of yours handle a 3 cell or only 2 cell eather case thunder power makes 1-2 and 3 cell configurations. The charger u have would not charge eather type of battery so you would need to upgrade. Dynamite makes a charger that will charge 1-3 cell lipo batterys along with Nicd and Nimh. You can change the charge amps and also track how many volts at any givein time the battery has while chargeing. You can see just how long the battery took to charge and what its peak voltage it reached. The charger is 90 bucks off ebay brand new and a lipo battery 3cell 1320 is around 50 bucks. Most lipo chargers need a power supply this charger doesen't. Dynamite Ultra peak charger.
