I would like to welcome Michael Luvara as a moderator for the Scale Racing and Giant Scale Racing forums. Michael has been involved in Giant Scale Racing and has been very successful. He had an article about Giant Scale racing published in RCM Magazine last year.

Thanks for the Welcome Don. I'm happy to help out here.

A litte about myself for those who don't know me.

I live in San Jose, California and have been flying since I was eight years old. I'm currently 23, and in my final year of college studying Electrical Engineering. Aside from going to school, I work part-time at Hewlett-Packard and serve as the Vice President of the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark (SCCMAS) in Morgan Hill, CA. http://www.sccmas.org

My primary interests in R/C is racing/pylon. I also like freestyle aerobatics, scale warbirds and tinkering with airfoils and different designs.

I have published several articles in magazines. The major ones were the Sept 2001 issue of RCM and one in MAN in Aug (I believe) of 2000. I have done some articles for http://www.pylon1.com and other online sources. Another article in RCM will appear this spring on giant scale racing.

I'm active in the sport and will help out wherever I can. My racing website holds a lot of photos from giant scale air races, and it can be seen at http://www.LuvaraAirRacing.com . My younger brother Chris is quite an accomplished photographer and his photos are laced all around the site. I have a fascination for the late full scale Reno racer Tsunami in which I have built many models of, including a molded scale version. http://tsunam.tripod.com

Anyways, enough about me - fire away those posts. Let's get racing!

Michael
