Hello,

I have recieved many emails to post how we came up with our Yak design. I have posted the 3view we used to achieve the Scale look. We chose to design our Yak to look more scale, yet make the necessary changes to make it perform as well as it does. Any questions let me know.

Thanks

John

i was one of the people who had asked about the 3view....thanks for the pics....i realize that the rudder and fin was throwing me off. the fin on the fullscale looks huge, i like the cut out in the fin, may try to "dupe" that......looks like you lowered the stab too,

Hello,

The Horiz .stab, Turtle deck, vertical stab, rudder, wing position was changed to make it fly as well as it does. With folks wanting to fly IMAC and 3D, these were the changes to be done for performance, yet keeping the Scale look. It was drawn in 3D, diced up to make parts, then the 2D view was finished. Drawing in solids allows us to make files to have the Cowl and canopy plugs CNC, then we make the molds for cowls and canopys. It takes me roughly 200 hours from a clean sheet of paper to a finished drawing with parts that can be laser cut on our machine. I hope this gives a little insite. I get emails all the time asking these type of questions.

Thanks

John

Hello,

I have one of these hanging now. Too cold to fly it over here in the UK. It is a sweet bird to fly and by far looks the most scale of any company IMO. Keep up the good work and Im going to order that new 42% Extra Mid Wing 300 when I get back to the states in May.

Have a Great New Years

David

Hello,

Hey David thanks for the compliment. ILL have a kit ready when your are. They are selling out every run so far. One of my customers has some more video comming with his 40% Yak. He said he getting very used to it, so he getting it down to below the fence line with his torque rolls. One we get it from him we will post it. I cant wait to see how he does next year in IMAC and Freestyle. His talent shows with every flight.

Thanks
John

I agree that that the counter balance is a very distinct and I was planning on doing it scale as well on the couple that I am building. Also think I will counter balance the ailerons too. This is the best outline kit I have seen.

Any insights on how to achieve the scale look of the cowl with the louver vents? My cowl is molded smooth all around, with no vents.
