levid -- what is the weather like in Wa. this time of year?

We are in Alabama and have had ZERO parts breakages, except the body.

On the days we have been out running it has been at least 65-70. Maybe that does have something to do with it.

he means 35-45 degrees celcius, not farhenheit.
I have had no breakages at all yet going on a bit over 2 weeks of daily use, and the temp is usually between 20-40 deg. cel. My trucks holding up well, its been through a puddle, rolled quite a few times on tarmac going very fast and the only damage is a few scratches on the shell and a few on the chassis.

I did not take it that way. I would imagine he means Fahrenheit seeing as he is in Washington State and here in the US we still use Fahrenheit for temps.

I am glad to hear that you are having good luck with your truck as well!

Hey everyone I am new to rc world and very new to posts. I have a himoto 1/10 truck with a .18 engine i have been reading the post and it has been very helpful my question is i have run about 5 tanks of gas threw my truck it runs pretty good until i go full throttle when i do that the engine dies. i have tried adjusting both needle and low speed adjustments. Right now i can run slow speed and mid throttle, but as soon as i go to full throttle it runs for just a second then dies. like I said before very new to this stuff so any help will be appreciated.

Hey guys!!!!
I got my tuned pipe!! It is the best mod yet!!!!!! One hell of a exhaust note and power gain on mid to high speed. The truck difenately loves the addition.

temp in Texas is about 65 F low, 83 F high right now (day time + during bashing time)

Scott---I'm always haven' fun with my truck even when I ( me being too cocky-- I can take that curb going 30+) break it and have to fix it, it's all in good fun.

I remember someone saying "this hobby is about mistakes and failures, you can't improve without breaking everything and making it better."

In my own words---- run it hard till it breaks and tear it down--fix it--run it hard again!!!

I should be able to post some pics in the next couple fo days of the mods I've done.

Chubbysdad----Run out and get the Tsias pipe----E1018K--(www.RCHub.com , is the internet sales site) It gives the truck one heck of a mean tuned exhaust note!!!!!!
The install was cumbersume being my first nitro rc, but it will work. The manifold matches up nicely, and the kit comes with new hardware to hold the pipe in place. At the tip of the pipe is a metal retension rod that bolts to the frame plate with a screw and nut, this rod in the new kit needs to be bent into a angle ( comes staight) to hold the pipe at the right level ( for ground clearence).
Other than that it was pretty straight forward, although there was no instructions with the kit ( I had to wing it--but it still only took about 30-45 min to install---thats me learning as I go!)

Oh-yeah wicked polished finish, it dressed up the truck nicely.

levid---trust me I miss the snow I used to live in Germany---it shure as heck doesn't snow here ( it's more like freezing rain for about 2 hours and then its all gone.

if your looking for wheels and tires and don't want to a mess with the glue--check this out http://www.maximizerproducts.com/Wheels.html

I thinking about investing in some of these wheels, reuseable and can change tire combos fairly quickly

here is the pics of the new pipe and trimed body (yellow) and untrimed body (blue)

on the stock body I found that duck tapeing the body mount holes and punching them out drasticly prolongs body life this is my 2nd stock body, they look cool, but don't last. The yellow and blue bodies are for the traaxas nitro rustler , all of the mounting holes did not match up so I had to make my own. I also have a body for the traaxas stampede, but have not trimed it to fit the volcano yet.

Looks great Jcam. HOw is the sound? that much better. I didn't see that much of a difference with the traxxis pipe either with sound or performance.

It sounds more high pitched--wind up of rpms-- it really makes you want to romp the on the gas. I looked at the Traaxas pipe and thought this one looked better, and RC Car Action mag said some good things about the Tsias sets so I took a swing at the $55.00 set(with all mounting hardwhare and manifold & manifold gasket),
plus I liked the chrome/ polished finish more than the blue on the Traaxas set.

It almost sounded like a Savage 25 with the star motor and aftermarket pipe I saw last week at my lhs--mine sounds a little weaker than the big block Savage but it is close!!!!
