No, you need a 6v pack. 7.2 volts will FRY your electronics-not good. a good hump pack almost always costs less than $30, and you'll save that much at LEAST on crummy AA's

And as for the discharge rate (mah) that only affects runtime. higher mah=longer sessions between charges. Wiht the 6v receiver pack, however, you WILL need a dedicated charger for it.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

That fuel will work well with its nitromethane/oil content.
Alot of people on here run the O'Donnell fuel

Hi Futabaed ... anything on that rear holder ??

regards,

No such luck there bannaboat The duratrax holder I looked at was to short and the bearing cups were a lot smaller.
Nothing I can find seems to fit the rear holder and its one of the last upgraded pieces I need myself.

I will continue looking for one as I know a lot of people(Myself included)want that part upgraded.

OK, I'm done with the stock engine. I have had quite a bit of trouble with it because I can't find a way to keep the carb sealed and in place. Today the needle valve screw fell off and I wasn't able to locate it. So, I'm wondering what engines if any you have found to be direct replacements for the stock one. I tried the Sirio .18TX and was not able to make it fit and was wondering about the Duratrax .18 or any others you have found to work. Thanks.

I had a duratrax dtx .18 and the shaft was just to long to fit in my volcano:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCLU2&P=7

Search one of the dealers in the forum for the team infinity engine that comes on the sv pro.
I have had mine for a couple of weeks and it runs well & is easy to tune.

Hey stewtheman,

I had the same problem!!! but instead of buying a new engine I bought an O.S. all metal carb !!! the engine is better than ever and no problem with the new carb.... it has the third needle and you can play with it to make you truck take off faster !!

regards,

bye the way futabaed.. all you need to do is take a dremel or hack saw and cut off what you don't need on the shaft.. then clean it up. usually the nut will do it alone.. othere your gonna need a tap set.
