Yes, like Himoto is the same company as Redcat as well ... just different brand names on identical parts.

Exceed had long shipping delays to my bro-in-law here in MI, and I tried to convince him to let me order them from Clermont but he wanted to do it his way and I think he knows now that Clermont has awesome prices and superior customer service, as well as super fast shipping!

www.clermontmotorsports.com - is the place to order from

I have to do that next time.
it is now over one week and the stuff has not left the ware house.
this stinks.
so far i managed to fix what i broke.
i put a zip tie around the lower steering arms to keep the left one on there. it broke right around the hole that connect it to the truck.

the steering arms and the door type holders i stabilised with cold weld.

the truck is a lot of fun.
but getting parts is a pain in the but.

Anybody know where in the USA I could get some 83009-Body Mount Braces ? Some suppliers don't know what it is and I don't want to rob parts off another Earthquake

Check with Clermont and AllAboutFun to see if they have what you need.

hows it going guys ?
123michael All u got to do is place the spring in with the shoe , then lift the spring to the shaft with a flat screwdriver. But to tell you the truth that setup wont work as well u will find that u have to run it at a higher rpm for it to grab and it will slip a LOT more.

I thought it might be better because of the better tires. is there a lot more to it??? does it ever bottom out or does it sit alot higher than the 1/10 buggies???

I used to have a smart tech buggie and it would bottom out on a jump every time. If i drove it more than half throtle into my dad's thick grass it would flip head over heels.i guess it was a bad first impression for buggies for me and that's why I was thinking my rig had a chance.

I like how the battery and radio box is held with a single clip.Every thing looks nice quality and easy to work on too looks way easyer to work on than the the traxxis revo. That truck looks realy hard to work on but i know that if i got familiar with it it woud be no problem.

Finally exceed decided to send my parts after almost 3 weeks.
how about that.
why is it so hard to get parts?

on the up side my friends an me went driving again. What a blast! i just put on different tires ant the truck can hold its own.

Is it normal that the compression changes quite a bit when the truck is warm?
It feels like half the compression.

Hey i read your ?
My truck did the same thing. Try adjusting the high end. If your car sounds high piched and is running hot its to lean and will shut off. If thats not it turn your throttle trim up on your controller and rev it up for a while. Also make shure your fuel lines are not cloged.
My bad!!!
i read your first post

redcat sells aluminum ones: http://www.redcatracing.com/parts_searchresult.asp?basepartno=VOLCANO+SV&partscat=h only thing is that usually the aluminum wont break but the plastic it attaches to will. i have no real problems with the plastic, are you crashing it or hitting something with it?

no, thats not it. they have the aluminum ones but they are 25 bucks. do you have the volcano manual? its listed as part #02166 and called a rear shaft holder. the ball heads go into it and shaft goes through the center and the rear upper arm also connects to it.
