Hi there

Is it normal that my engine is hardly putting out blue smoke?
I run it as rich as possible, tried different fuel's and nothing seems to make it smoke.
Is there an explanation for this?

Thanks
Frank

you should have some blue or white smoke, do you have a temp gun, if its running over 250, it too hot. if you dont have a temp gun do the spit test, put a little spit or water on the head, if it sizzles and evaporates almost immediately your too hot, if it evaporates in like 5 seconds your ok.

you may have and air leak, make sure the fuel cap is sealed, also the base of the carb. Make sure the fuel line is free by disconnecting it from the car and diconecting the pressure line from the tuned pipe, then blow in the pressure line, it should be fairly easy to blow into and should have air coming out of the carb side of the fuel line. if not check and make sure the fuel nipple is not clogged. Also make adjustments to the tuning needles in small incriments, like a 1/16 to 1/8 turn

Does anyone have any ideas to look at or check to see if all 4 wheels are spinning with the same speed or even if at all?

It really appears that the back 2 tires have all the power and the front two tires seem to only spin at a fraction of the speed of the rear ones.

I do have a Redcat Volcano and it appears it's been doing this from day one. Thanks for any advice/feedback.

sit it on a block and start it, give it a little throttle and make sure the front wheels are spinning too. dont rev it alot since you can blow the engine if there is no resistance and you rev it high. if for some reason the fronts dont seem to be moving much maybe your axle holders are loose, you may need to tighten the grub screw in them, it would be the one that goes from the front of the trans to the front diff.

Yes, I've picked it up, and looked at it while holding it in my hand (just like up on a block of wood). It does appear the rear tires rotate at a much much much faster rate than the front tires.

Possibly just tightening down the axle holders will fix this? no tinkering on the rear tires, just t
