Are the Zip-Zaps any good? What is a good micro car that will zoom around pretty quickly on carpet and have a good battery duration for under $80? Any advice? Thanks.

Well, zipzaps are fun but they don't work on carpet. If you have a good kitchen or table top they can be very fun. For the price of 20 bucks you can't beat them either. I don't think any of the other micro cars can give you that much bang for the buck.

I would love it if I could get a micro truck though. Something with bigger tires and a more all terrain look.

I tend to think they are both made in the same chinese factory along with a couple other companies, I have some on the way and the remote is exactly the same as the Radio shack cars but have a different companystamped on it, Even the motor looks just like the micro sizer. Bet it would fit right in.

I have two Kyosho Mini-Z's and they're good on low pile carpet. Pricey, but good quality...

I have zipzaps monster trucks. They're really great! I can run of carpet no problem what so ever. They have a climbing angle of 35 degrees. Make sure you get a upgrade motors. They're really slow stock but excellent climbers.

Yeah those zipzap monster trucks are pretty cool. I have little jumps and obstacles that my kids have races on the living room floor with, and of course i take on the winner. They were about 13 bucks when i bought them.

Dont get the zipzaps SE, I have 2 and they both broke from over usage. I think the non SE versions are more durable and longer lasting. I have the monster trucks and they are fantastic. Highly recommened. And they're pretty fast with the upgrade. I suggest micro sizers or something of the like if you want a car. ZZ monster trucks if u wanna run on carpet.

Get a Losi Micro-T for $100. It will last much longer than Zip Zaps.
