compared to a freaking ricer Honda 2.0 they are! Thats what kids today have it to compare to. lol. But you're right 302 cubic inches is on the small side of a small block engine..

They look ugly (in my opinion) and the only thing they are remotly good for is dragging because they have that big 5.0L engine.

Looks are subjective, and a 5.0L is not even close to a big engine.

It is funny what the new generations consider "big" for an engine now adays isnt it ? They see a 302 as big.....we see it as more average, and their 4 cylinder engines as "small"....lol..

But a Honda 2.0 is only HALF an engine..........

I consider the 7.5L (462) in my '66 GTO a medium sized engine.

Well... Big is a relative term. Big for a relatively cheap car is 5.0L for my generation. Thats probably thanks to Detroit and their need to meet up with everyones fuel economy standards. A little four banger probably shouldn't be considered an engine though, lol, even in my terms...

With today's technology and innovations, a 302 can make most 60's big blocks look pitiful. It's much easier to make a fast small block V8 than a big block. If money is no option, then big blocks are the only way to go. I have a 289 Mustang that people don't believe is a 289 because of the power it makes.
