Well it was warm enough in Indianapolis for a good test drive of my sons first nitro truck.

Santa was good this year. Jay got a MT2 and Daddy got a Savage 4.6 kit.

He did that a few times today, but mostly when I was chasing him down with my savage and he was trying to run away.

We took 5 RC's to that diamond today my Savage and my Son's MT2 where the only servivors. My friends LST broke something in the tranny trying to keep up with my savage. He also broke his flywheel on his Buggy. My MT1 broke a drive cup on the front diff from the torque on the new .18CV-RX.

I got into the hobby and he started asking about it. I gave him my old electric truck a while after I got my first nitro. He loved it and started completing laps at the local indoor track. It was a 13 year old electric, so parts are rare. I err santa got his nitro to pertect the old Kyosho Outlaw Raider.

How old are you and your father.

Try a simple challange next time he is behind the wheel of your truck. Tell him Dad if you had your own truck I would run all over you. You wouldn't be able to catch up.

The simple notion of competition should get him into it. My brother inlaw was asking to many question so I got him a truck off ebay for chirstmas this year. now my father in law is acting like he wants one.

dont buy him a cheap truck. Get him a hundred or 150 gift cert for tower hobbies. so he can get a better truck. But make sure he is into the idea. Im serious challenge him while he is driving his. it should work. That's what sparked my brother and father in-laws interest. They drove mine for a bit, they both have about 7 acres in the middle of BFE. I started talking about building a track on there land if they got one. Dad's been asking alot of questions about the trucks since he say brad open his on christmas.

I am from Indianapolis, I grew up in Pike township. I have since moved to a west side suberb Avon. Those pics and vid where filmed at the Ben Davis Baseball diamonds on 21st and girlschool (Far west side of Indianapolis). I run on a local indoor track at RC Planet. Its way over on the east side off of Penalton Pikeway. Been looking for a bigger track, either indoor or outdoor for the summer.

here is the track http://www.planetrcraceway.com/photos.asp

RC planet lets the nitros run during the winter but give priority to electric. Nitro guys only get access to the track to practice on tuesday from 3pm-10pm and sunday 11am-5pm. Havent seen them host a nitro race yet every time they have tried in the past they cant get enough guys to show up.
Well says the owner.

Most sundays at peak times there are 20-30 nitro vehicles there. $10 to practice all day. Gimme a link to the haut track. its not that far of a drive. I may make it out this summer.
