OK guys, Here's a picture of the 20 Superhawks on the workbench ready to be boxed and shipped. I was going to assemble all 20 outside and get a picture but the weather is too wet for that. We had a record setting month in November with 13+ inches of rain, 8 inches of snow and an all time November low temperature of 18 degrees farenheit. Burrrr !!! Also shown is a close up of the wing and routed spoiler bay. All that needs to be done is shape the 3/16" balsa and install the HS 55 servos. Rounded corners to match the rib bays as well.
Thanks to all those who waited and enjoy your new Superhawk !!!

Super Hawk ver.2 no.1!
Went up to La Conner this week and met up with Tony at his wife's Keladi Cafe (Great waffles and coco!). The drive up from Seattle is gorgeous and I got a chance to do some sloping on the way home at Ebey's Landing and Ft Casey. Got a chance to see a completed SH although we couldnt fly as the local field was flooded, bummer, I really wanted to see this up in the air.
The box barely fit in the hatchback, it is a telescoping rig, about 5'5" total.
I am torn as I am a newbie still and this will be the last run of the SH - I know if I build it, I will fly it. It may be a blessing that my shop is undergoing remodel this winter. Need to get more stick time before I put this 1 up. I dont want it to be a hangar queen!
Pics: My cat Foster modeling the box for scale. Instr (modified from the original HH) DVD - nice slide show, and vid of original HH promotional. Decale package including original Hawk emblem rod package (personally will probably go with carbon fiber on main wing to help take stress) Everything bubble wrapped - those are carbon fiber control rods. Fuse is fully assembled, ready for prep/painting. The infamous dorsal assembly - glad I got a spare from Brian! The spoiler bay is cut and channeled. Tonys own version has got carbon fiber spoilers, hmmmm... The joiner rib looks to be epoxy reinforced and not the plastic as in the original (never liked the original, it is prone to crack). you can see the 3rd hole for the spolier servo wires. Again, Foster the Cat modelling for scale. The continuous polyhedral is not as dramatic as in original - I betcha that makes it more stable (Tony sayz so), perhaps easier to cover too?
OK, so plan is to get more stick time with my original and consider starting build this summer when my shop is ready.
Gotta go fly my HH now, see yah!

That bird looks fantastic. Mine will be delivered tomorrow (At least thats what FEDEX says). I can't wait to get my hands on it. I just have to decide whether to finish it with a classic look, or go with something more updated. Decisions, decisions . . . . .

Hi Tony, Your Super Hawk looks beautiful. I was wondering if any kits were still unspoken for. I would very much like to acquire one if one is still available. Please contact me directly to my e-mail at: BenKwan@aol.com. I'm am new to this forum, and do not know all the 'ins and outs' of communications. I hope this message gets to you. Sincerely, Ben Kwan

I received my Super Hawk yesterday. Absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to get her finished up and airborne. Well worth the wait to have a really unique glider.
