They can be charged both at same time. (or one at a time) it won't matter.

I talked with the MRC rep at the Toledo. He said that I can send in my 969 for exchange for a 977. The cost has went up to $43. I don't know if they will still upgrade a 969 or not. The rep did not mention that option.
