Well, that IS a good reason! I have an email in to rcandme about the parts to upgrade the old 22e head to the new version. I will post my findings.

Yes, alot of the parts are the same, come from the same factory, and just get a different label on the package. It's called big business....

Sorry I didnt answer sooner I just got back on this forum and saw the question, you have the new version of the 22E head already, that is what you broke. The upgraded head connects to all four ball links on the swash plate... Two links go to the flybar cage, and the other two go to the upgraded arms, than there are the two short links that attach with a molded plastic pin in the center of the upgraded link to the blade grips. I know you already know all that, but It explains this..... That see saw on the right of your picture is for the old style head witch flies pretty good, You should have all the parts you need to get it back up in the air with the old head till your new one comes in. All you have to do is use the same two links from the swash plate to the flybar cage, and install the see saw on the right. (take off the one attached to the broken links) there usally was extra links that came with the heli too, you would use these to connect the see saw to the blade grips. They are a little longer than the ones you problibly have, but you can try to lengthen them any way you can. make sure the pitch is ok, and your ready to fly again till your parts come in.

Hi,
I bought a 22E last week and crashed it already... I thought I was able to trim it without a training gear.
You guys have a lot of experience on fixing 22E's!
Here is my question. On the left side in the picture you can see the broken part but I can not find any replacement part for it.
The only thing I can find is the part on the right which was included as spare parts in my helicopter kit. But I miss two ball links on this.
What parts do I need to order to fix this?

Thanks,
Ruben

HI guys,

I have 2 36 helis and thought I'd give the 22E a shot.

I've got a BL motor and ESC fitted on it but this model has a servo in CH3 which is the throttle on most other helis

So do I follow the instructions for the venom and put it in CH4 and join the stock battery connector to the deans battery connector (Y harness)?

Whats that +- JST lead coming out of the ESC for?

I think the 36 might be an easier heli but I'm looking forward to giving this one a shot. Thanks for helping!!

yes, connect esc to ch4. then connect esc 2pin pwr cable to receiver. then connect the motor to the esc.

Has anyone put a gyro on their 22e heli? I've seen an auction on ebay titled something like 22e gyro heli, but I didn't c a gyro. I think a gyro would be very heli in keeping the heli from going into a spin.

pizo, is that an add on to the 22e? I called the vendor ask'd if the 22e had a gyro, he said "YES" -ffs, both of mine not working then. No wonder why I've busted up so many parts. Another vendor going to call me aka (RCandME) to help me fix issue.

gyro suppose to keep the heli from spinning in circles by countering the spinning of the main blades via the tail rotor - not happening on my helis. I've been trimming the tail rotor to at least 80% as i increase throttle. In addition, I've had to go left right with the throttle stick to keep it stable.

Am I the only here with this problem?

No, I had the same Issue with both my 22E, and 2 seperate rx, for the dragonfly, mine would spin out of control, cause the gyro built into the rx (4 in 1) is cheaply designed. I recently went with all seperates and a new dx6 tx cause I got tired of the problems. It solved my problems. You need to make sure your rx is mounted in the correct direction if it is mounted wrong than it will be uncontrollable. My new gyro evan when throttle is at zero if I pick up the heli, and spin it left (evan spin it slowly) than the tail motor will come on, and correct me trying to spin it. My old dragonfly rx would not do that evan with throttle on. Try it on yours and see what happens. You can evan disconnect the main motor, and wind your heli up to around 50% and than pick it up and spin it to the left, and see if the tail rpm increases if not you have a problem. It should slow down and stop if you spin it fast right. Dont be confused about what the gyro does, It helps keep the nose stable but will not eliminate the tail spin. You still will need to correct a bit with your left stick, there are head holding gyros that will hold the head solid but your talking a lot more $$$

Hi everyone. I've been reading you r forum for a while and i am very impressed with your progress.
I also bought 22E and crashed into the chair. The linking ball connector broke and i had to buy HM-22E-Z-38 Accessories for Upgrade.
I received today and was disappointed. Do i actually have to glue some stuff myself? That is very small work and it has to be very precise.
Is that how it was supposed to be?

yura,

Is the thing that you are referring to gluing, the washer that holds the mixing arm on the see-saw?

just finished my call with rcandme - seems like i need to adjust the pots on the receiver. it's a bit more manageable than before now. Instead of heli's counterclockwise rotatation and me having to adjust the tail as i increase throttle, the tail now only moves 2-4inches every 10 secs or so - much better.

Ok, I did the above and fired it up........Success!! Pretty stable for a small CP. This one was truly RTF, I didn't need to adjust the gyro or tighten anything. I put on the BL motor without trying the brushed motor and I'm using a 12C 11.1V 1020mah battery.

I've kept the tail stock and it stays cool. Great heli!

EDIT; PUT STICKERS ON IT

yura,

I don't think they used glue.. I was looking at mine and it appears they put it together and touch the end of the post with a soldering iron to melt it a little bit ( don't touch the washer) and cause the post to mushroom slightly and this will keep the push rod/washer from sliding off...

I used super glue to keep the plastic washer on - that seems to work for me.
